About Me

Hi guys this is Cindy, thanks for reading my profile. I am a local outgoing, active girl I was born in a small fishing village in Xingping, Yangshuo--the beauty of rivers and mountains gives nature-born smiling character. I am very happy to show everyone around. Moreover, I have been guiding and doing outdoor activities in Guangxi, Hunan, and Guizhou for 6 years. I offer different kinds of sightseeing package tours and customized travels, as you know nowadays many people would like to travel indecently and have their own itinerary because group tours service is not flexible. Beside I am also a senior outdoor coach in rocking, kayaking absailing etc. for over 5 yeas, I am well trained by the first aid association, you don't need to worry small injury during your trip. If you are travelling to my area I would like to be your guide and friend show you the most beautiful sites and culture!

Feel free to contact me for any questions, I'd love to help and make friends with you!

Cindy was a fantastic guide for me and another travel friend in the Yangshuo area over a year ago. When I recently planned a different "one off" solo trip to another part of China recently - just north of the Vietnamese border - I reached out to her for help with recommended sites, translation and potential lodging. She came thru fantastically without difficulty - despite me being in an area of the Country she did not live in or knew anything about. During my journey, she recommended practical modes of travel - mostly bus and train - and local sights to see. My journey was unique and self-guided, with another solo leg continuing into Vietnam. This type of trip is something I don't think Ms. Li seeks out, but no matter, her oversight was invaluable. I stand by my earlier excellent review a year or so ago - if you remotely need help in this area of the world, or even close to this area of the world, you can do no better than this capable professional. All her positive reviews are well-founded. She really is a guiding friend away from home. Read less

Cindy Li organized a phenomenal three day photography trip for me two days before I arrived. She did it easily, quickly, and with grace. She was only available the first and last day of the trip so she also organized to have another guide friend of hers give me a tour the second day without missing a beat. All of the sights she took me to were beautiful and I got great photographs of rice terraces, Yangshuo, Xinping, Lao Zhai Shan, the Li and Yulong Rivers, a cormorant fisherman, and a lot more. There are so many beautiful sights here in this area I think it was the best idea for me to find a guide like this instead of trying to do it on my own. The driver she arranged for the three days was very careful and pleasant and also knew English which helped to communicate with everyone. Cindy also helped me choose and book my hotels and because it was all last minute she helped me with absolutely everything in organizing the trip. As a photographer I really appreciated the fact that we were up and out the door every day before the sunrise and they guided me all day to different places until sunset. It would not have been as successful without the wonderful guidance of Cindy Li. Thank you Cindy, Tom, and Joy!! I hope to see you all again someday. Read less

Cindy was wonderful! Funny, kind, and she really loves her job. We arrived to guilin after a long a trip and she made us feel so welcome. She took us to the rice terraces in Longji (great views), helped us at the hotel and with the food. The day after, we went to Guilin to see the elephant trunk hill. And the following day we took a ferry in Li river to Yangshuo (so nice! Beautiful scenery). Also, a great biking tour through the karst mountains and villages.
We really recommend her as a private guide! She was very thoughtful, fun, knowledgeable and kind. We even took a chinese cooking class on a rainy day that was awesome!

Cindy was an extraordinary and pleasant surprise.   Of all the candidates I contacted, she got back to me quickly and with suggestions for activities before I even had a chance to do my own research.   Upon meeting her, she was full of energy, spoke fluent English and - most pleasant of all - had a rich and developed sense of humor.   Her tour was seamless, from transportation to hiking, river rafting, bike riding and the occasional show, she had everything nailed down.   Within days, she felt like an old friend I've known for ages.   We were once caught in a horrible traffic jam - for Cindy, no problem:  get out of the car, walk a few kilometers to the nearest bus station and keep on going.   Cindy is the friend away from home you are looking for.  I've had the good fortune of meeting many guides around the World - Cindy is in top form and once of the best individuals I've had the privilege of meeting.   You will be very lucky if she's available to guide you.

My wife and I both really enjoyed our 3 days of touring with Cindy. We visited the Rice Terraces, Silver Cave, took a private Li River Cruse, mountain biked, hiked Xianggong Hill and lads more including a great lunch prepared by Cindy's sister Lisa in her home outside of Yangshuo. Cindy handled it all for us, from arranging our airport pick-up and drop-off via personal driver, managed all the logistics around our tour from tickets to restaurant recommendation. She is truly and all star.

Thank you again for the great tour, we look forward to future trips and visits to your corner of China!

We travelled to GUILIN / YANGSHUO in September 2015.

Actually we did not want to take an organized tour with a group , instead we tried to plan our own individual tour. If you do not want to spend too much time in restaurants, in visiting tourist traps, then stay away from the organized ( often cheap to attract tourists ) tours.

Be prepared that thousands of other tourists want to visit the same place at the same moment with you. Your definition of “crowds” will change after your trip to China.
The same applies for traffic conditions. It is very important to rely on a tour guide who knows the area very well. Planning is very important to make best use of your available time and to have a tour in line with your health conditions and interests.

Cindy could not have done better

She  invested so much time (even before confirming the tour) which helped a lot to organize a fantastic trip.
I remember that we sent already so many messages that we become friends before arriving ;-)

She  has a vast knowledge of the area and the history.
Explanations we got were very well balanced, enough but not overloaded and all questions were answered.
She is a well-educated person with good language skills (English), very polite and organized but still funny. (which is important, you are on holiday, no ? ) Cindy is always laughing - a little sunshine.

We had a great time together and learned a lot about local life and habits as well.

One important thing I really want to mention is that traffic in China is very, very special. You might be used to traffic jams, to sometimes dangerous maneuvers from you home country, but forget about this when you come to China, especially the country side.
You will understand why you should not drive yourself. You have many overloaded trucks, speedy buses, many cars, thousands of bikes and pedestrians using every available inch of space in all possible directions – at moments you can be scared. Most  of the accidents in China happen because of bad driving skills.

So, it is important that not only you have a good guide but also a good experienced driver with a clean car in perfect technical conditions !  This was the case, we felt very secure.

So when you book with Cindy,  I can say that the car we had and the driver were excellent  and always on time from pick up at airport upon arrival ,check in in the hotels until departure at the airport.

Unfortunately China is very far away from our home and we will probably never meet again in our life, but we will never forget the few days spent together.

Thank you !
