Tour Description
Day 1: airport pick up at Jiuzhaigou-Huanglong airport . drive about 2 hours to Jiuzhaigou hotel. Rest on your own.
Day 2: Jiuzhai Valley one day visit
morning 8:00 am pick up from hotel lobby . take the sightseeing bus at the entrance of Jiuzhaigou National Park.
Jiuzhaigou has three valleys: Shuzheng Valley. Rize Valley and Zezawa Valley .The three valleys look like a letter “Y”.
Jiuzhai Valley is locally known as Jiuzhaigou (Chinese for “Nine Village Valley”). It is a national park located in the Min Shan mountain range, Northern Sichuan in South Western China. It is best known for its fabled blue and green lakes, spectacular waterfalls, narrow conic karst land forms and its unique wildlife. It was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1992; the park joined the Man and Biosphere Conservation Network in 1997 and has also received IUCN and ISO 14,001 accreditations.
It is China’s premier national park and is located at elevations ranging between 1,990m (6,529 feet) to 4,764m (15,630 feet) above sea level. Located on the edge of the Tibetan Himalayan Plateau in Northern Sichuan Province it is easily accessible by direct flights from Beijing, Shanghai, Xian, Chengdu, Chongqing and Hangzhou. Jiuzhai Valley provides spectacular scenery throughout the year making it one of China’s most treasured scenic sites.
Recommendatory route for Jiuzhaigou is :sightseeing bus at the entrance-Primary Forest(原始森林)-Arrow Bamboo Lake(箭竹海)-Panda Lake(熊猫海)-Wuhua Lake(五花海)-pearl Beach Waterfall(珍珠滩瀑布)-Mirror Lake( 镜海)-Nuorilang Center（诺日朗中心）here you need to transfer to bus-Long Lake(长海)
Walk to five-color Lake (五彩池)-bus to Nuorilang Center –walk to Nuorilang Waterfall- Tiger Lake（老虎海）-Shuzheng Waterfall（树正瀑布）-Spark Lake(火花海) –Reed Lake(芦苇海)-Bonsai Beach (盆景滩)-back to entrance
Day 3: Songpan Ancient town and Mouni Valley .
morning 8:00 start from hotel lobby. Drive about 2.5 hours to Songpan Ancient town.
Songpan town introduction:
320km away from Chengdu. Songpan town is the oldest, the most intact ancient city as a preservation, it is an important trade center among the area of Tibet, Qinghai, Gansu and Sichuan province. It is the first city of the upper Min River. The wall was built in the year 1379 ( Ming Dynasty) .There are Tibetan, Han , Qiang and Hui (Chinese Muslim) etc many nations live in Songpan area.
The two statures in front of the wall gate are : Songzain Gambo ( the king of Tibet 605?617? – 650 who unified Tibet, and created Tibetan characters) and Wencheng Princess from Tang Dynasty(623年—680) who designed and built Jokhang Temple and Ramoche Temple in Lhasa –the capital of Tibet
In order to strengthen Tibet kindom, Songzain Gambo asked to marry to princess of Tang kingdom. After Princess Wencheng went to Tibet, she brought Han culture and knowledge ,grain seeds etc to Tibet.
Songzain Gambo and Princess Wencheng are dedicated in Jokhang Temple and Potola Palace still.
Mouni Valley : 30 km away from Songpan town. Mouni Valley is mainly formed by Erdao Lake and Zhaga Waterfall.
Altitude is from 2800-4070.
After hike in Mouni Valley ( in total about 2-3 hours ) , drive 3 hours back to Jiuzhaigou
Day 4: airport drop off .
