About Me
Social Practice:
I graduated from Foreign Language University of Xi'an in 2002. I worked in a Museum from 2003 to 2005 as an English-language docent. I passed the tourism examination and received the tour guide certification at the end of 2005. Since 2006, I have served as an English-language guide for foreign tourist groups.
Work Experience:
While working at the Yang Pass Museum , I participated in the reception for Henry
Kissinger, the former U.S. Secretary of State. I also participated in the visit of an
important official from the U.S. Senate and guided World Bank officials.
While working as a tour guide, I met ambassadors from Australia, Canada,
Iceland, Malta, and Portugal to China. In 2008, I supported a group of famous
singers and movie stars, led by Olivia Newton John. In that same year, I also
guided a special group tour for the total eclipse of the sun. In August 2013, I
was honoured to entertain Zoltan Somogyi, Executive Director of UNWTO, during
the Sixth International Silk Road Tourism Conference being held at Dunhuang. In
2016, I was honoured to guide VIPs invited for the First Silk Road International
Cultural Expo, an event to be held annually. I also have guided many groups from
various tourist companies, such as China Holidays, China Tours, Indochina, and
Wendy Wu.
Self-evaluation:
I love being a tourist guide as well as travelling regularly. I am proud to be
an English-speaking guide in China and am confident in my English-speaking
skills. I demonstrate flexibility in working with different types of group,
regardless of size. I treat all of my foreign guests as if they were VIPs. I
manage to balance the differences within each group. I have also learned to use
Western-style humour to help to bring the group together.

Besides good English oral skills, I have acquired important and relevant working
experience during my career as a guide, I have been to numerous cities on
China's main Silk Road, including Xi'an, Tianshui, Lanzhou, Xiahe,Tongren,Xining,Wuwei, Zhangye, Jia
Yuguan,Dunhuang, Turpan, Urumqi, Kuqa, Yarkent, Hotan, Kashgar, and Tashkurgan.
