Our pick-up at the Wu songkou International Cruise Terminal at the mouth of the Huangpu river near Shanghai (30km from dowtown) was easy and smooth. Michael immediately stands out as a guide with his superior level of english and an engaging happy, sometimesloud, personality. We mentioned having seen The Bund and avriver cruise and having been to Yu Gardens and bazar. He propose that we head out to Jade Buddha Temple for a visit, and while a lot of people were inside(we almost lot Bruno), it was an amazing buddhist site along with an history as to the 5 or 6 buddhas and the Singapour reclining buddha donation. Michael is an encyclopedia of facts and history with a thorough knowledge of China history and an ease to communicate with clients and locals alike. After the temple, we stopped at a government silk factory which I had been to on a previous Sinorama tour, but which our friends had not seen. A quality silk comforter was bought. I had requested a meal at Din Tai Fund, but it was now too late, so Michael proposed a local original food court experience at a shopping area in the Pudong area. There, you buy a card that you load up, 300 yuans for the 5 of us, and we bought different dim sum plates and some fresh pressed juice. The food was nice and fresh and the vegetable cooked perfectly; we even got 100 yuans back when surrendering the leftover card. Thereon, joining the van at the underground parking, the priority was to get to Pudong airport at least 50 minutes away. Michael has all the best trick as he notedTerminal 2 ,where we needed to go. He head out to the Airport Hotel area, confirmed the traffic with binoculars got us 2 bagage carriers onto which he put the luggage, parked the van and guide us through an elevator down to the terminal, through a soft security check and right out to our airline checking area. We thanked him warmly for his up and above servce, and without ay doubt can I offer my recommendation for this exceptional guide and chauffeur. Thank you again for the visit and smooth sailing to our airline area.
