I am Linda and was born in Nanning. I have a strong attachment and a sense of pride for this land. Maybe you have been to Guilin. Do you know Nanning is the capital of Guangxi Province. Nanning is a tourist destination as well as a tourist distribution center of Guangxi, connecting Guilin, whose scenery is second to none in the world, to its north and Beihai Silver Beach, a national holiday resort, to its south. Within the city zone there are various tourist sites such as Qingxiushan Mountain Tourist Resort, Liangfengjiang National Forest Park, Phoenix Lake, Yangmei Ancient Town, and Nahu lake, etc. And CAEXPO is held in Nanning once a year has made Nanning one of the frontier cities in China. I love this land. I would use my tour knowledge to share with you all about this city. I have a dream that through me, more and more foreign visitors can achieve better understand for Nanning.

Overview of Nanning

In south China lies a magic land with gorgeous sceneries and beautiful folk songs,it is Guangxi Zhuang Automomous Region, where stands a beautiful city full of green and vigor—Nanning,capital city of Guangxi Zhuang automomous Region

Nanning, or Yong for short, also called Xiang City and the Green City,is a mild peaceful , and elegant ancient city with 1,690 years history .Here the Yongjiang River is clean and clear while mountains are green and elegant. It is a happy home to 51 ethnic groups, where people are hospitable, folk customs are splendid and folk songs are heard all around. It is green and livable, inclusive and confident where people enjoy their life and work in peace and stability, flowers are blooming, green trees are showing off their beauty and blossoming  phoenix flowers are lighting up the streets. It is the best city of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, with remarkable achievements and even broader prospect in the new century.

Time goes by as Nanning keeps its steps forward. The thousand –year old city has drawn a picture of its own in the handscroll of history. Nowadays, Nanning again stands at the forefront and faces up to challenges of the times with the most ambitious resolution. As the permanent venue for the China –ASEAN Expo(CAEXPO) and a bridge linking east China with west China as well as a bond between south China and north China,Nanning has grown into a new city in China with rapid economic growth and a new destination for foreign investors.As the hub city for China—ASEAN Free Trade Area(CAFTA) and the sea route for southwest China in the Western Region Development. Nanning has now begun to show its irreplaceable influence up its surroundings. While the Guangxi Beibu Gulf Economic Zone Development Scheme was officially was officially implemented as a national strategy, Nanning is getting closer to the international arena as core city of the Guangxi Beibu Gulf Economic Zone(BGEZ)

Nanning is moving steadily toward brighter future with an inclusive and innovative approach.
Today’s Nanning is just like what Arthur Chapman, the Canadian poet,wrote in his poem:
