Tour Description

Dujiangyan Irrigation Project ,is located on the middle reaches of the Minjiang River at the foot of Mt.Yulei,45kilometers from Chengdu. It is inscribed on the List of World Cultural Heritage,rarified by UNESCO in December 2000.It is the oledest and greatest irrigation project which still functions in the world. Dujiangyan Irrigation project ,constructed by prefect Li Bing of Shu Kingdom in 227 B.C.,claims to be the oldest irrigation project in China. There are diffent parts of this project,Yuzui（Fish Mouth）,Feishayan（The Sand-Flying Spillway）,Baopingkou（The Bottle-Neck Channel）,The Lidui and Fulong Temple.
