Beijing Walking Tour to Tian'anmen Square & Forbidden City and Wangfujing Street
Walking in the center of Beijing , from Tiananmen Square , Forbidden City to Wangfujing Snack Street, you will see how different the life is between Ming and Qing Dynasty and nowadays.
This trip will start when you meet our guide (you may meet at your hotel if it is within the 3rd ring road ) at your preferred time 9:00am or 13:00.Then either subway or bus to Tian'anmen square. Tiananmen Square is the biggest city center square in the world. It covers 44 hectares and is big enough for one million people. It is surrounded by gorgeous buildings, Tiananmen, Great Hall of People, Chairman Mao Memorial Hall, National Museum,etc.Walk through Tiananmen Square to The forbidden City. This city is a giant palace which was used for emperor and his family to work and live. It was first built in 1407, and completed in 1420. There are 8704 rooms inside, you will see the major buildings including dragon thrones , wedding room, bedrooms for emperor and empress as well as the room for concubines,of course you will not miss the imperial garden!The forbidden City was listed in World Cultural Heritage in 1988, so called Palace Museum. Then, you will experience a fun bus ride only four stops to Wangfujing Street.With a history of 700 years around, it got the name Wangfu (royal mansion) Jing (well) because there used to be eight royal mansions and a well with sweet water on the street. Currently, it is the busiest street in this city and there are 600,000 people every day come and go. As the first famous business zone in this city, the street houses a wide variety of shops and boutiques, some of which are of world-famous brands. You will walk to the Wangfujing Snack street and trying various local foods if you want(on your own expense)or maybe something that can leave you deep impression, you can't miss it! At last , our guide will stop a taxi for you if your hotel is not nearby (taxi fee is on your own expense), or send you to the subway station ,your fun tour ends here.
