Hanshan Temple was famous of its bell.  Once a poet called Zhangji who lost his examination for government official stopped at the river near Hanshan temple. His stayed in a boat which dropped on this river. He was sad and can't sleep. When in midnight, the bell "ding, ding,ding" reached to his ears,he felt more sad. So that he wrote a poem there called <枫桥夜泊>, it is very well-know to people....read more
Hanshan Temple

Hanshan Temple was built in year 502, it`s not only famous of that  poem, but also  famous for the special sound of the Temple`s bell. Every year, on Spring Festival eve, people will come to Hanshan Temple to ring the bell to hope it will bring good luck of next year.
