Moore Memrial Church
In the heart of the city lies the Moore Memorial Church, which is at 316 Xizang Lu overlooking People's Square.
It was named after J. M. Moore, a Texan who donated money for its construction.
In 1931, Hungarian architect Ladislaus Hudec rebuilt the original church employing the latest aesthetic theory. The exterior walls were composed of concave and convex red bricks.
The interior is no less impressive, with its rich-hued woodwork, fine stone arches and elegant galleries.
