While wedding shops appear to exist all over Shanghai, western style wedding boutiques are actually fairly hard to come by.  The Link, which opened in November of 2005, fills the void of western bridal gowns with the best of the best – Vera Wang. 

 
Located in the Shangri La in Pudong, random foot traffic is nonexistent, but I still recommend making  a reservation.  The boutique is small, with only one dressing room and - only about 20 dresses. Therefore it’s a bit difficult to share the space and supply with another soon-to-be bride.  In addition to wedding gowns, The Link also has a few full-length dresses that could work for bride’s maids or other formal occasions. 
 
The staff’s English ability is nominal, but good enough.  They need 6 months to order the dress for you, so plan ahead!
 

Take Metro Line 2 to Lujiazui Station. Take the Bund exit, and then walk south and west. The Shangri La is just across the street from the Bund.
