About this place
Bukit melawati was the administrative center of the Selangor sultanate in the 18th and 19th century. It is a historical place where there is a fort was built on the summit during the Sultanate's reign to fight against the Dutch. There is still several artifacrs left from the past such as the cannons, a flat stone used for beheading offenders, royal graves, a poisonous well, lighthouse and others.
Besides, there is a lot of monkeys at the hill. You can feed the monkeys but just be careful because the monkeys can go wild. Even you don't want to feed the monkeys, but if you bring any food the monkeys will automatically come to you.
Tourist are allowed to drive their own car to visit Malawati Hill. As the provided Tourist Train are only operated on Saturday, Sunday and Public Holiday from 9.00am to 6.00pm. Fees for the Tourist Train is RM5 per adult and RM3 per child. The tourist train will bring you to the Malawati Hill and Freshwater Fish Park.
