Albay

Spicy cuisine, "Pinangat" and Pili Nuts, Yes! These are all found in Albay. However Albay is popular from the "perfect-coned shape" volcano. Everything about tourism in Albay speaks of and is attached to 'Magayon' a bicolano dialect which means beautiful and that is Mt. Mayon. 

Be mesmerized of his magnificent shape that has no blemish even after every eruption (it is the most active volcano in the country). Photograph his natural wonder, capture his breath-taking highness never knowing that it may erupt anytime. Savor his stunning and unforgetable beauty. Truly Mt. Mayon will always make Albay Magayon. 

If you cant get enought of Mayon, try to come closer to his foot using an ATV vehicle that will lead you to his recent black lava flown area, passing boulders of stone, flowing rivers and array of pine trees. You read it right, Pine trees. Take a look at it yourself. 

But its not just Mt. Mayon that makes Albay one of the major tourist spot in the country. The province has his own colonial churches such as the Daraga Church constructed on top of the hill. It has its gothic and baroque styled structures declared as the National Cultural Treasure in th country. They also have the Cagsawa Church which is the closest destination to the foot of Mayon but sadly because of his eruption in 1814, the entire church was buried and only the bell tower survived which makes it more interesting. We now call this area the Cagsawa Ruins.  Dont worry about how to photograph yourself with the ruins and with Mayon, there are photographers in the area that is willing to help u out. You can pay them at any amount. They are very good with what we call Trick Shots. Get it yourself. 

Lignon Hill Park on the other side has his promising panoramic view of Legazpi City, Albay Church and nonetheless Mt. Mayon. You have to climb the 156 meters high hill to see the 360degrees view of the city. Best place to see the peak of Mayon in the morning and best sunset in the province in late afternoon. The park also has his nature trails, ziplines and viewdeck in the southern area where our volcanolgist has its monitoring section. 

After all the viewing,treat yourself in some sumptous meal ala Bicol Style and pampers yourself in shopping. Legazpi has its wide arrays of shopping area and restaurants. Embarcadero de Legazpi which is fronting the main harbor and Legazpi Boulevard which is poised to become the new commercial strip are some of the interesting areas. 

Getting to Legaspi is easy. You may opt to use Land and Air since it is the Gateway to South Luzon. An hour by plane and 10-12 hours travel by land. 

Baler

Surfer..Baler!

But its not just surfing. Baler is known to be the capital of Aurora, a province named after the beloved wife of Philippine Commonwealth President, Manuel L. Quezon. And is only reachable by land, 6hours drive using NLEX and SCTEX on the north. 

Surf. Surf. Surf. 

Main goal of a tourist visiting Baler. Since the town is identified as one of the best surfing destination in the country with its 6 to 9 feet waves attracting tourist aroung the world. Asian Surfer Championship is a yearly event held in Baler for surfers. 

Non-surfers need not to worry. Licensed surf instructor are in the shoreline willing to teach and guide u for an hour. 

Reminiscing the Past

Too tired of surfing? Then feed up your mind with the Past. Baler also houses some of the historical sites: Quezon Park, Baler Museum, Baler Sign, Baler Church, Dona Aurora's Ancestral House and take a look at the Presidential Car, a 1936 Chysler Limousine entitled for President Quezon but was used by Gen. Douglas McArthur. 

Be a Nature Lover in Baler. Explore. 

Baler is also famous for its Millenium Balete Tree- a 600 yrs old tree,considered the oldest balete in Asia and would be needing 60 men to encircle the trunks. You may also go up to Ermita Hill, a designated area in times of tsunami or typhoon surge. Just take a glimpse of the Pacific Ocean and Bay of Baler in its plateau and Shout your heart out. While the Hanging Bridge in Brgy. Zabali will ease your stress through its sea breeze. Blue sky matches the inviting blue clear sea that is so refreshing not only for those who wanted to swim but for those who just wanted to sit on the bridge and memorize its beauty. Lastly, dip yourself into the cool water of Ditumabo Falls also know as the Mother Falls. After trekking of 45minutes or more, its majestic pouring water on your shoulder will relax your heart and mind. 

Baler is absolutely a one-stop-shop for travellers. 

Anawangin

Zambales is quite famous for the stunning beaches in Subic. But have u heard of Zambales Coves? 

Cove is a small type of bay or coastal inlet situated within a larger bay. 

Anawangin Cove is the most popular one in San Antonio, Zambales due to its closenest to the coastal barangay of Pundaquit- a barangay in San Antonio loaded with beach resorts but still a very rural area. A laid back place with georgeous view of sky, mountains and sea. Pundaquite beach is composing of clean and fine sands. 

Activities:

Prior to your night camping in Anawangin Cove, one can have an island hopping  in Capones Island and   

Camara Twin Island. 

⁃ Capones Island is a huge shoe-shaped rock with magnificent limestone cliffs forming the island perimeters. It has a Lighthouse that once guided vessels coming from the North. Climb to the lighthouse is easy since the rocky trail is composing of concrete and stoned steps already. Its viewdeck offers the wide range view of the West Philippine Sea. 

⁃ Camara Twin Island is a few minutes away from Capones. Its twin island seems to be connected by a sand bar but No. It is connected by rock. Isnt it amazing, a rock bar. But be sure to wear protection on your feet. Some rocks are kinda sharp.

Anawangin Cove is the highlight of the tour. It offers a cool sea breeze in a secluded area. Away from what u used to have in the city. No big stores, No television, No electricity and definitely No signal for your phones. What Anawangin offers is a white sand beach to swim, a mountain to trek, a large forest of Pine Trees for camping and overnight stays. A relaxation with different perspective. 

A 4hour drive fron Manila via NLEX amd SCTEX. Anawangin is a close escape from the hustle amd bustle of the city. A short journey to paradise.
