Except its natural beauty, Coron Island was the point where many Japanese boats sunk during World War II. Because of that, this is one of the best sites for diving and exploring shipwrecks. The wrecks are, of course, situated at different depths. There are ten wrecks of Japanese boats which are named after the boats so they have Japanese names. Besides the shipwrecks there is alse the Günter´s Cave also called the Cathedral Cave because the sunlight at times enlightens the cave walls.

Still, if you are not a diver you can sail on a boat and marvel its landscape. There is a lush green forest on the island as well as great rock formations on the verges of the island. The island is a homeland to the Tagbanua indigenous people.

In the interior of the island there is a Lake Cabagao between high rocks and rich vegetation. This lake is protected as it is holy to the indigenous people.

No matter which way and what one decides to see and explore there is one thing sure. Everyone is amazed by the island.

Northern Luzon is the location of the UNESCO World Heritage Site and to one of the most visited tourist attraction n the territory of the Philippines. The beautiful attraction are the rice terraces built by the Ifugao people.

The sight at the green terraces is as stunning as the sole thought that some were built about 2000 years ago. When considering the period and the tools used, this site is more than amazing. One cannot omit thinking about the techniques used to build this irrigation system that is so sophisticated even when thinking about the technologic advances made since then.

Having in mind the European colonization of the territory, one has to notice that on the Cordilleras territory there are no traces of colonial culture. The most constructing factor is the terrain which is not easily reachable, especially at the time of conquistadors. The authentic culture of the tribes is very much preserved which is still visible from the traditions of the local inhabitants.

Needless to say, the Ifugao´s main product is rice and, of course, their culture, way of life, and many customs they perform are connected to rice.

Due to the extraordinary beauty, the site has been recognized by many tourists who come to visit and marvel the place. Thanks to the tourism, and investments in the industry, there are many activities, and accommodation options available at or near the site. Many guided tours are available, and many visitors decide to walk on the terraces.

If you are looking for an amazing natural landscape then Chocolate Hills will amaze you. As many as 1400 green hills are just waiting to be visited. But why they are called Chocolate. Well, the green grass that covers them turns brown every dry season. And even though if you don´t come during that period, they are perfect as well. These hills stretch on an area of about 50 square km, and Bohol province is so proud of them that they are painted on the provincial flag. They are cone shaped but of various sizes and the highest is 120 m high.

Of course, when there is such a beautiful landscape, there is also an interesting legend that describes its emergence. The local legend tells a story of two giants who fouhgt each other with stones and sand. And even though, according to the legend these two giants finally became friends they left the island and left their fighting material lying around and that later became the famous chocolate hills.

Naturally, it would be hard to see the magnificence of the hills standing on the foot of them. For the observation purposes there is an observation hill where visitors can climb 124 steps and see the beautiful hills from a better standpoint.

Mayoyao Rice Terraces are located about 40 km east of more famous Banau rice terraces. These terraces are better preserved but they are somehow less visited. The most obvious reason is that Mayoyao is not as reachable as Banau due to high mountains that circle a large valley. These rice terraces are cut into the slopes of these beautiful mountains. The rice cultivated in this area is called tinawon. Since the rice tradition in this area is long people have learned to make other products out of rice such as rice wine that they gladly offer to the visitors.

Visitors who want to find out more about the traditions in the area can visit the museum or event come at the period of rice harvest during June and July and see the entire process and hard labor necessary for the successful cultivation of rice.

Mount Pinatubo is an active volcano in the Cabusilan Mountains, Luzon Island. Many people of the indigenous Aetas tribe that lived on its slopes were ignorant of its activity until its strong eruption in 1991. The large amount of magma and sulfur were ejected and over 800 people died.

After the danger passed many of the Aetas decided to return to their lands, even though due to the earthquake many things weren´t the same and the return to the previous ways of life was almost impossible.

Even though the volcano is active it is also home to a precious forest, and to numerous plants and animals. In the crater of a volcano there is a beautiful blue lake surrounded by green environment. It is called Lake Pinatubo and it is filled with the monsoon rains.

With the new water coming to the lake , the water cooled a bit and it is no longer hot but there exists a danger that the water will pour out. Due to that possibility the government decided to occasionally drain out part of water from the lake.
Today, because the volcano is currently quiet, many tourist come to enjoy its beauty.

Cape bolinao light house is known as the 2nd largest light house in the entire Philippines.

It also has been a setting of some local Filipino movies and great for pictorials.

This light housr is in Patar rises 351 feet (107 m) above sea level atop Punta Piedra Point, a towering hill of solid rock which is the sharp point of Cape Bolinao itself. It was built by the Americans in 1903 on a 351 feet (107 m) high promontory at the western part of Cape Bolinao, the lighthouse still sends signals to vessels passing by the area.

The lighthouse provides a panoramic view of a portion of the 1,269 hectare Cape Bolinao Dendro Thermal Ipil-Ipil Plantation on a land area where archaeological excavations have revealed relics from the 14th to the 15th centuries. Filipino, British and American engineers constructed the lighthouse in 1905.

According to the Bureau of Geodetic Surveys, the land elevation is 250 feet (76 m). Visibility is 20 miles (32 km; 17 nmi) at midsea towards the lighthouse in Poro Point. The winding stairway has 6 platforms with 20 steps or rungs for a total of 120 steps plus 14 more to the illumination room, or an over-all total of 134 steps.
