Taho - Thicken soya milk

Taho came from the malay word "tauhue" that means a tofu pudding. It is composing of fresh silken tofu which is the base, then dressed with brown caramelized sugar syrup and tapioca at the top.Serves good when its hot. But taho is not an original Filipino thing. It came from China during the Han Dynasty and was brought to the Philippines by the chinese traders.Part of the trading system that has been going on during the Spanish Era. We now consider taho as a staple comfort food in the country as part of our breakfast. The cost of a glass of taho is from Five pesos (P5.00) onwards. Aside from the original caramelized sugar syrup they also added new flavors such as vanilla and strawberry.
