To start our hike to Phulchowki Kathmandu, we drive 14 km south of Kathmandu for about 40 minutes by private Car. After we reach Godavari (with Botanical Garden) we start our hiking gradually uphill through dense sub - Tropical forest for four hours. The walking rate is easy and scenic. ITINERARY

Day 1: Greetings at Kathmandu Airport
We will meet you at Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport and transfer to your hotel. When you have had your time to settle in and freshen up after your long fight, you will be invited to visit our office for a briefing about your program. You will have meeting with your trekking guide and discuss about the equipment needed for the trekking and we will process for the trekking permits. During this visit we will help you check your equipment and facilitate the processing of other necessary items such as National Park Permits, special permits etc. If you arrive at night we will have same discussion in next day morning after your breakfast.

Day 2: A full day sightseeing tour of Kathmandu, the capital valley
The very next morning, after breakfast you will leave for a full day sightseeing tour around Kathmandu valley. You can visit sacred Pashupatinath Temple and Swyambhunath, very ancient and essentially enlisted in UNESCO World Heritage sites. The biggest Buddhist Stupa at Boudhnath and the prehistoric architecture of Kathmandu Durbar Square reflecting the ancient Nepalese culture are highlighted on our guided tour. The sightseeing tour continues to Patan City, famous for its fine arts and historical architecture. On return to your hotel you will have time to explore the local area, have dinner and perhaps take a leisurely stroll through the popular streets.

Day 3: Flight or Drive to Pokhara
After having your breakfast, we will drive you to the Domestic Airport to take a 25 minutes flight to Pokhara. Or if you wish you can take a Tourist bus to Pokhara about 6-7 hour drive exploring & enjoying with scenic beauty all the way around. During the short flight to Pokhara you will have majestic views of the glorious Manaslu peaks and the snow-capped Annapurna mountain range, as well as the Langtang Himalayan range.
After having a rest at your hotel and lunch, a sightseeing tour of Pokhara will begin. Pokhara offers magnificent views of Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, Machhapuchhare, five peaks of Annapurna and others. The tour includes a visit to the Devi's fall, the gorge of the Seti River, Tibetan Refugee Camp, Mahendra Cave and many more. In the evening, a boating trip on Phewa Lake will be followed where you can enjoy the spectacular views of Annapurna Himalaya Range reflected in all its glory in the calm green water of the lake and visit Barahi Temple lying in middle of the Phewa lake

Day 4: Pokhara drive to Nayapul - Trek to Tikhedhunga [1540m]
A scenic 1 hour drive from Pokhara takes us to the starting point of our trek. Crossing the suspension bridge over the Modi Khola river, we ascend slowly through terraced fields and classic mountain villages. Along the way we will encounter mule or goat caravans carrying supplies to the mountains, heralded by the musical bells they wear. The stunning peaks of Machhapuchare and Annapurna peaking over the green ridges will greet us from time to time as we continue up to Tikhredhunga.

Day 5: Trek to Ghorepani [2775m]
Today begins with a real heart-starter! We have a steep ascent to get us going and then a more gradual uphill walk takes us to our camp at Ghorepani. We will pass through some delightful villages and the beautiful, dense rhododendron forest so characteristic of Nepal at these altitudes! If the weather is clear we will see stunning mountain views from Ghorepani, making the climb well worth it! At Gorepani, we are on the main Annapurna Circuit route and there are likely to be lots of travellers passing through this ridge-top settlement in both directions. Ghorepani literally means "horse water" and is a popular stopping place for the mule trains which ply the route from Pokhara to Jomsom and beyond. The impressive peak which can be seen across the broad valley of the Kali Gandaki to the northwest is Dhaulagiri.

Day 6: Sunrise at Poon Hill (3200m) – Trek to Tadapani [2650m] 
It is an absolute must for those who stay at Ghorepani to make the walk up to the celebrated view point of Poon Hill [3195m], which overlooks the village. Dawn is the best time to go so we arrange a wake up call for 5 am and head up the well marked track by torchlight. The first light of dawn illuminates Dhaulagiri and Tukuche Peak with a surreal pink glow.You may be able to buy coffee and breakfast from an enterprising local who has carried his produce up to Poon Hill to take advantage of the morning trade. Otherwise, we return to Ghorepani for breakfast, before trekking on to Tadapani through rhododendron forest.  If we are lucky we will see some wild animals, such as langur monkeys climbing through the trees. There are excellent views of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli and Machhapuchhare from Tadapani.

Day 7: Trek to Ghandruk [1950m]
From Tadapani the trail descends through beautiful forests to Ghandruk, which is a stunning village of Gurung people, one of Nepal’s most famous ethnic groups, known for their distinctive dialect, culture, costume, and life style. Ghandruk is also home to many soldiers from the famous Gurkha regiments. From here we can have stunning views of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Gangapurna, Annapurna III and Fishtail.

Day 8: Trek to Nayapul - drive to Pokhara
We can enjoy a final down hill walk through forest and villages for about 5 hrs to Nayapul. From here we drive for about 1 hour back to Pokhara where our trek ends and we can enjoy a shower and relax on this stunning lakeside town enjoying the memories

Day 9: back to Kathmandu: by flight or Tourist bus

Day 10: back to home

Everest View Trekking starts with a flight to Lukla. Lukla is busiest mountain airstrip at 2800m. which serves as the gateway for Everest region from Lukla. Everest view trek continues into the lush vegetation of Sagarmatha National Park, which contains wide range of flora and fauna. Enjoying the sight of pine forests, rhododendron flowers and an abundance of wildlife in our way we head towards Namche Bazaar 3440m . After a brief rest in Namche bazaar our Trekking heading towards Tyanngboche monastery at 3860m which is one of the highlights of Everest view Trek. Tyangboche monastery is considered home to the highest Buddhist Monastery in the Khumbu region and also considered the best spot in Nepal to take a look at and photograph Mt. Everest 8,848m/29,029ft. and its neighboring peaks above eight thousand Meters. This monastery in Everest region and commands a dazzling view of Everest and other mountains of the region hence the trek to Tyangboche monastery is termed as Everest view trek. From there we heading to Khumjung , the biggest of Sherpa villages in Khumbu region, here you will get an opportunity to see the aesthetic Sherpa culture and their astonishing traditional life style, Buddhist monasteries, Hillary school and the rare Animal of Yaks. You will also be familiar with the famous myth of Yeti and who knows you might see one too. Here we are ending our hike adventure and now heading back to Lukla. On the way back you can be enjoying the last views of the awe-inspiring Himalayan range and Their people.

Itinerary

Day 01:

Arrival at Kathmandu [1,350m/4,428ft] and tranfer to Hotel

Day 02:

Kathmandu City Tour: Trip Preparation Day
Today after breakfast we will start a guided tour to several of the most historical and spiritual attractions in Kathmandu. Some of these landmarks are considered World Heritage Sites; including the historic Durbar Square, the sacred Hindu temple of Pashupati Nath, the famous 'Monkey Temple' (Swayambunath) and Buddhists shrine (Buddha Nath) which is one of the large Stupas in the world. In the afternoon, there will be a pre-trip discussion where we can meet our trek leader and other team members
Day 03:

Kathmandu - Lukla - Phakding [2,652m/8,700ft]: 3-4 hrs trek (walking time only)
After breakfast, we get transferred to the domestic terminal of Kathmandu airport for an early morning flight to Lukla (2,800m/9,186ft), a gateway destination from where our trek starts. After an adventurous 40 minute flight above breathtaking green and white mountains, we reach the Hillary Airport at Lukla. This is one of the most beautiful air routes in the world culminating in a dramatic landing on a hillside surrounded by high mountains peaks. Here we meet our other crew members and after some packing and arrangements, we start our trek through the prosperous village of Lukla until we reach Phakding. To assist in acclimatization, we only have a short hike today. However, if interested in additional activities we can take a side trip to a nearby monastery. Overnight in Phakding.
Day 04:

Phakding - Namche Bazaar [3440 m/11,280 ft]: 5-6 hrs trek
Walking through a beautiful pine forest, the track leads us along the Dudh Koshi River through many suspension bridges, one of which is the famous Hillary Suspension Bridge. First, we catch wonderful prospect of the glistening Mt. Thamserku (6618 m). Through the settlement of Benkar, Chumoa, Monjo, we come to the check post and entrance to Sagarmatha National Park. We pass through the last village of Jorsale before reaching Namche Bazaar. The trail climbs through the forests and bridges until we reach the confluence of the Dudh Koshi and Bhote Koshi rivers. After a final steep ascent of about two hours we get first sight fist of at Mt. Everest, peering over the Lhotse-Nuptse ridge. We stop at Chauatra to admire the view. We still need to walk about 1.5 hours to reach Namche Bazaar, a gateway to Mt. Everest and main trading centre of this region. We stay overnight in Namche Bazaar.
Day 05:

Namche Bazzar: Acclimatization Day
This is the first of the two scheduled "acclimatization" days. Health experts always recommend us to stay active and moving during the rest days instead of being idle. We either spend the day taking a day hike to Thame or visiting Khunde or relaxing and exploring Namche Bazaar itself. Namche Bazzar is the main centre of the Everest (Khumbu) region and has government offices, ATMs, Internet cafes, shops, restaurants, a bakery and a colorful market each Friday evening and Saturday. If we trek a few hundred vertical feet during the day, it will help us to properly acclimatize. Our guides will take us to the Tourist Visitor Center near the headquarter of the Sagarmatha National Park where we can observe an assortment of things related to the first Everest ascenders, Sherpa culture and learn about the various plant and animal life of the Everest region. Overnight in Namche Bazaar.
Day 06:

Namche Bazaar - Khumjung [3810 m/12500 ft]: 4 hrs trek
Today's journey starts with a climb up to the famous airstrip at Syangboche. Just above the airstrip is the Everest View Hotel, a Japanese scheme to build a deluxe hotel with great views of the highest mountains on Earth. Trekking up for about 2 hours and then leveling off until we reach the village of Khumjung. The Khumjung valley surrounded by the snowy peaks of Kondge and Thamserku and the sacred peak Khumbila, hosts a well known monastery that houses a yeti scalp. We also visit Hillary School which is at the same site. Another set of busy and colorful monasteries, lined with prayer flags and prayer wheels, are braced along the slopes high above this traditional village.
Day 07:

Khumjung-Tengboche [3,870m/12694ft]: 4 -5 hrs trek
We take a walk descent down to Dudhkoshi River passing through little villages on the way. The trails involve down with forest and across riverside for the lunch and we take a final ascent step up for 2 hours through pine and fir forest to reach a small hill Tyangboche. It has the famous Tengboche Gumba to explore for the day. The photogenic views from here are considered to be the world's most splendid one. Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse (8501m), Kwangde (6187m), Tawachee (6542m), Ama Dablan, Kantega and Thamserku provide an inspiring views of Himalayan giants. Tengboche also boasts famous Tengboche Monastery. Over night at lodge.
Day 08:

Tengboche to Kyangjuma (3,570m/11,710ft): 4-5 hrs
Morning we spend a brief time at Tengboche, observe its many prayer wheels. We cannot explore prayer altars inside as the monastery opens only at 3 pm. From Tengboche, a steep descent of about 1500ft/500m leads through rhododendron bushes and fir trees to the Dudh Koshi River. We cross the first bridge over Dudh Koshi on our return trip at Phunki Tenga. Further we pass the village of Tashinga and Sansa before finally reaching beautiful village of Kyangjuma. Here, we appreciate the gorgeous Ama-dablam, Thamserku, Nuptse, Lhotse and Everest! Overnight at Kyangjuma.
Day 09:

Kyangjuma to Monjo [2,840m/9,315ft]: 4-5 hrs
The trail to Namche Bazar clings to the steep wooded slope beyond Kyangjuma, winding through several bends. We lookout for wildlife such as mountain goats, snow leopards, colourful pheasants etc. while we pass through the forest by the trail. We have enough time in Namche to shop and relax in a bakery that serves coffee and cakes, and provides Internet access. A steep descent from Namche Hill leads to the suspension bridge crossing the Dudh Kosi river near the confluence of the Dhudh Koshi and the Bhote Koshi Rivers. We cross the Dudh Koshi River twice at separate locations before reaching Monjo. We are out of the Sagarmatha National Park after exiting from its official entrance near Monjo and finally reach Monjo Village. Not only is Monjo a quieter place to stay than Namche, it also means our porters have a less strenuous walk back to Lukla tomorrow. Overnight in Monjo.
Day 10:

Trek to Lukla: 4-5 hrs trek
By today we start to get warmed up by the light breeze. Although we are traveling the same route down, we feel completely different views. We snap a mixture of open plains, rhododendron and pine forests, and in the distance snow covered peaks. We take time and walk leisurely today as this is the last day of our trek. We feel the Sherpa villages' impressive faith in Buddhism and culture of prayer stones and prayers flag while we walk through the villages. On arrival in Lukla, we have plenty of time to relax, stretch those sore legs, and recall the experiences of the last couple of weeks. We experience the culmination of a fantastic trek on a happy note with everyone back safe and sound with smile on their faces! Upon arrival in Lukla, we stroll around while our leader will re-confirm our flight ticket. In the evening, we enjoy last dinner with your crew. Overnight in Lodge.
Day 11:

Lukla-Kathmandu
We fly back to Kathmandu after our long mountain journey. The early morning flight drops us at Kathmandu. We can rest and relax throughout the day in the hotel. If interested to take some gifts from Nepal for friends and relatives, you can visit to some nearby shops or venture out in Thamel for typical Nepalese goods which can be assisted by our guides or you can do it yourself too. If fascinated to explore some other areas of Kathmandu you can take time to do that today! Remember, we will be hosting a fantastic celebration dinner together for successful completion of the Everest Base Camp Trek! Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 4: Pokhara trekking to Ghandruk (1940m)

A car drive for about 1 and half hour through large village Lumle brings you to Nayapul. The trek starts dropping at first on a staircase and then traversing high above the river on a wide stone-paved trail to a large and prosperous town Birethanti (1065m). The trail follows the main street winding through the bamboo forests and past waterfalls with plunge pools inviting you for a refreshing swim. Beyond a pasture used by pony caravans, the trail reaches a small village Sudami, where you can have your lunch. We walk along the terraced fields beneath the splendid panorama of awe-inspiring glaciated Himalayan mountain ranges. After passing a flatland, forest, cultivated lands and a suspension bridge over Khumnu Khola, we arrive at the beautiful village of Ghandruk after 3-4 hrs walking. An ideal vantage point in this pristine village offers breathtaking views of Annapurna, Gangapurna, Machhapuchhre, and Hiuchhuli. There will be time to explore, rest, and enjoy some lunch, before settling into your accommodation for the night.

 

Day 5: Ghandruk Trekking to Jhinu Hot Spring (1750m)
Hiking through a flat level for an hour passing through terraces, streams and the green sceneries, we will work down to a bridge over Kyuri Khola at 2010m. The trail starts ascending to Kumrong Danda. Very almighty rhododendron forests and fine terraces went passing through our trail to the Chhomrong village. Above the village is the mighty peak of Annapurna South, with the Mt. Fishtail facing it across the valley. Chhomrong is a beautiful village with lots of Lodges providing good faciities. From here you can also trek down about 1 hour to Jhinu. A Natural hot spring at Jhinu is an inviting place to spend time splashing in the small pool beside the natural hot spring.

 

6: Jhinu Hot Spring trek to Pothana (1990)

After breakfast next morning, the trail continues on to Landruk, a beautiful Gurung village which provides an excellent view of the surrounding mountain ranges. The trail emerges in the main Modi Khola valley and reaches Tolkha and continues towards Pothana. The view of Machhapuchhare (6997m) is excellent from here, except that from this angle it looks more like Matterhorn than a fish tail.

 

Day 7: Pothana trekking to  Phedi and drive back to Pokhara

Today we will walk along a paved stone trail through Rhododendron forests arriving at Dhampus (1750m). This village is inhabited by a mix of people from different Nepalese cultures, Gurung, Brahman, and Magar communities. After a rest here we will walk mostly downhill through fields to the forest and on to the Phedi. A 30 min drive from Phedi brings you to Pokhara. We spend a beautiful night in beautiful Pokhara city.
 

 

Day 8: Free day at Pokhara
Pokhara is known as the Land of Dream of Nepal. You will be free to explore Pokhara and the surrounding area at your leisure. Taking a taxi to the village of Sarangkot before sunrise will afford you spectacular views as you see the sun rise, draping the great Annapurna Range in a golden, deep purple, and rose cloak, before the brilliant clear blue sky emerges for you. After lunch visit famous David's fall, the Tibetan refugees' camp, Mahendra cave and ancient museum. The Peace Pagoda funded by Japan is another spectacular viewing point over the valley, with Pokhara and Phewa Lake nestling far below. Have a leisurely stroll over the beach side of Lake enjoying the evening.

 

 

Day 9: Pokhara - River rafting – Chitwan
After breakfast drive to rafting site (Trisuli River for White water Rafting). It takes approx. 2 and half hrs drive from Pokhara to our point of departure for our rafting adventure, at Charaundi Village, on the bank of the Trisuli River. This River is popular as access to the Prithivi Highway makes "breaking off" the journey easy. Trisuli River is also an ideal beginner's River. The trip leader will inform you about river safety, paddling techniques and what to do if you find yourself in a situation where you fall overboard. We begin rafting in a languid pleasurable fashion to get the feel of the motion on a raft. The scenic passage past the river banks and the life taking place along the way is interesting and intriguing, an added bonus to the rafting experience itself.
After lunch, drive to Chitwan National Park. We will have short meeting to highlights on the program and the facilities to be offered. At evening you will offered an exciting elephant ride (Jungle Safari) and explore the jungle with the views of wildlife and vegetation. This provides chance to have a glance of the one-horned rhinoceros, several types of deer, monkeys, wild boar, bison, sloth bear, leopard and the Royal Bengal tiger too.

 

 

Day 10: Exploration of Chitwan National Park.
After having morning tea or coffee, you'll have a bare foot nature walk to cherish with the environment. Get introduce to the features as vegetation, Sal forest, open grassland and thick jungle. You will be helped by our guides to know about species of birds, plants and other wildlife. Learn more about these fascinating animals during a visit to our elephant stable. (For the brave ones there is even a crash course in riding and leading the elephants). After lunch, traditional dug-out canoe is waiting for you on a silent trip down the Rapti River to enjoy and view aquatic birds and the animals of the river banks. At the evening, farmers of the nearby villages will show some of their traditional skills and dances.

 

 

Day 11: Chitwan National Park to Kathmandu
Next day early at morning, you can have bird watching or another pleasant elephant ride.
On safari in the jungle you will be accompanied by expert naturalists who will advise on safety procedures and we request you to respect their judgment at all times. If you wish to stroll in the forest alone, a guide will have to accompany you for your safety. After lunch we will take you to the Bharatpur Airport for a flight to Kathmandu.

 

 

Day 12: Morning Mountain flight and leisure time
The following morning after breakfast we will drive you to the Kathmandu Domestic Airport to take a 1 hour scenic mountain flight. The outstanding views of Mt Everest towering high above the other high Himalayas will be a highlight of your last day with us. After return, you can have a relax walk over the streets and view the normal living of Nepalese. Also you can buy some memories and gifts for back to your home. Full day leisure can be accompanied by some entertainment and sound time in hotel. At evening you can prepare to pack our baggage with mentality to leave Nepal.

 

 

Day 13: Final Departure
If you are leaving Nepal and not continuing your holiday here in Nepal, we will drop you to the International airport to catch your flight back to your home. We will wish you a happy journey in the traditional and cultural way of Nepal and hope to see you again.
