Having more than 200 year's history, good and authentic Suzhou cuisine here is noted world wide.It got it's name from a famous old movie named" xiao xiao deyue lou". It keeps the traditional Suzhou cooking features of stewing, simmering and braising. Most chefs in the restaurant have been trained in the headquarters to assure each meal conforming to the perfect Suzhou cooking style. Still, the signature dishes here are Mandarin Fish, Fenzhengrou (steamed pork slices with glutinous rice flour), Xiefen Tofu (braised bean curd with crab meat) and Qingchao Xiaren (stir-fired shelled fresh shrimps). Deyue Lou usually tends to fill quickly on weekends, so reservation is necessary.

Bus route: Tourist special route No.4 and regular buses No.1, 2, 8, 9, 32, 38, 68, 102 and 103 can get you there.

The 4.5 kilometer long, double-decker, Nanjing Chang Jiang Bridge was only the second bridge that crossed the Chang Jiang (长江) after its completion.  Changjiang is also known as the Yangzi River or Yangtze River.  Completed in 1968 during the cultural revolution, it is also the first bridge that crosses Chang Jiang to be built entirely by the Chinese.  The influence of the era is evident in the socialist-inspired statues on either side of the bridge.  The bridge deck provides a good view of the river. It is possible to walk from one side of the bridge to the other.

For those with both a tighter travel budget and a bit of a nostalgic inclination, the Lu Yang Guesthouse is a perfect place for about 50 Yuan a night. The Lu Yang Guesthouse is set down an old alley which makes one feel as if they are visiting the China of a century ago. Guests first enter 3 story arched sunlit atrium where it seems like women wearing traditional Qipao dresses should be leaning elegantly against the banister. The guesthouse dates back to the Qing Dynasty, and was once the place to stay for any big names passing through or visiting Yangzhou. Along with the historic atmosphere comes historic amenities as well though. Most rooms do not include private bathrooms, and showers only flow during summer. With this in mind, it’s possible the Lu Yang Guesthouse is more of an experience than simply a night’s lodging.

Directions: Finding the Lu Yang Guesthouse is a little tricky. It is located down an alley just north of the intersection of Guo Qing South Road (国庆南路) and Gan Quan Rd (甘泉路). The alley, called Xin Sheng Qiao (新胜桥), will be your first on the left when heading north from the intersection, look for a clock store. The guesthouse is not too far down the alley, with a green sign, on the left.

Relaxing Hot Spring Tour at Tangshan Area

Nanjing Tangshan is famous for the hot spring, hot spring is good for your skin and health, and relaxing your body and get rid of the press.

Maybe you don't like all the tourist attractions in the downtown, here would be one of another option.

This tour will be only visit 2 attractions and the rest will be spend the whole time in the hot spring. Or, if you prefer, you can only go for the spring.

Tour plan would be:

Hotel pick up -----> Yangshan Stele -----> Tangshan Ancient Ape Man Caves -----> Hot Spring -----> Send back to hotel.

Since Tangshan is a little town outside of Nanjing city and it`s quite far away, i would suggest to use a private car to drive there directly.
