Yangshan Stele, which is 40 meters in height and more than 9677 tons in weight, has the history of over 600 years. This stele was build In order to display the filial respect to his father Zhu Yuanzhang (The founder of Ming Dynasty) and stabilize the common aspirations of the people, Zhu Li called up 100,000 skillful craftsmen to build Yangshan Stele. It only spent 13 months to finish the profile and the stele was ready for further fine sculpture.
Unfortunately it has been given up halfway finally. Why the stele has not been carried to Nanjing Ming Xiao Ling and played its role? It was said Peking was a flourishing plcase for emperors and at that time the whole society was stable, so Zhu Li made all efforts on the constructions in Peking, therefore, the site was not taken into use any more.
But my dad told me is because the stele is too big, and Zhu Li was waiting the winter time and roads got frozen to move to Ming Xiao Ling, but Nanjing is never too cold to have roads frozen, so they was not be able to move it at all. :)
Better to take taxi or rent a car.

Since Tangshan is a little town outside of Nanjing city and it`s quite far away, i would suggest to use a private car to drive there directly.

City Wall (Admission: 45CNY) - Nanjing City Wall, constructed during the Yuan and Ming Dynasties between 1365 and 1386, originally stretched over 30km which made it the longest city wall in the world. Now, with about two thirds of the wall still intact it still remains the longest city wall in China. We could walk on the city wall and feel the history of Nanjing.
