The main long-distance bus station is located in the south-west. Many local buses stop here including the No. 1 and No. 2 tourist buses (游1 and 游2). It costs about 15 yuan to take a taxi from the bus station to the city center.
Note that since the station is in the west it is also referred to as "the west bus station" (西站, xizhan).

The layout of Yangzhou is fairly simple, and most attractions can be reached on foot or by rides in passenger carriages. Yangzhou is boxed in by the old Grand Canal and Slender West Lake on the northwest side of town. The center of town is marked by the large white Wen Chang pavilion, making a good reference point for the rest of the city. Wen Chang road, which runs on an east-west axis, is considered the main drag in town as well.
The left and right atriums of Yangzhou, Wenchang Pavilion (white) and Siwang Pavilion.
Both the train and bus stations are a bit outside the main urban area.
If arriving in Yangzhou by bus, you will more than likely be dropped off at the West Bus Station. A cab ride from the station into the center of town will cost around 15 Yuan. Alternatively, the number 20 bus runs through the central district and has a useful stop in the Yechun area.
The train station is even further from the city center than the bus station. Cabs from here will cost about 20 Yuan, or take bus number 26 which runs along Wen Chang road, Yangzhou’s main thoroughfare, from which most other destinations are easily reached.

As Yangzhou is a fairly popular city with Chinese tourists, it is likewise an easy destination to reach. The nearest airport is an hour south of Nanjing, so rule out flying, but both trains and buses make frequent stops here.
To and from Beijing, Yangzhou is an easy overnight ride, best done on a hard sleeper. The train from Beijing departs at 9:30 p.m. and reaches Yangzhou at 8:20 a.m. the next morning. From Yangzhou, the train departs just before 8 p.m. and arrives in Beijing just before 7 a.m. the next morning.
Other useful train lines that pass through Yangzhou include one heading northwest to and from Xi’an which takes about 22 hours. Another lines heads south to Guangzhou that includes a stop at Yellow Mountain (Huang Shan, 黄山) in around 27 hours. A rail line heads due west to and from Hankou (near Wuhan) in about 12 hours.
If wishing to travel by train to Shanghai, it is best to take the train from Zhenjiang, a city just across the Yangtze river from Yangzhou. Frequent trains between Zhenjiang and Shanghai take just under 3 hours to reach its destination. From Zhenjiang, there are also buses departing every 15 minutes, and the Zhenjiang bus station is only a 20 minute ride from Yangzhou. The Zhenjiang bus and train stations are side by side making for easy transfers.
Reaching Yangzhou from Nanjing is best done by bus as well. There are trains, but they are not as frequent as buses and wind up being a bigger ordeal. From Nanjing’s East Long Distance Bus Station (Dong Che Zhan, 东车站) there are very comfortable buses headed to Yangzhou about every 30 minutes, and arrive an hour later. Buses to Yangzhou also depart from Nanjing Lukou International Airport.

City Wall (Admission: 45CNY) - Nanjing City Wall, constructed during the Yuan and Ming Dynasties between 1365 and 1386, originally stretched over 30km which made it the longest city wall in the world. Now, with about two thirds of the wall still intact it still remains the longest city wall in China. We could walk on the city wall and feel the history of Nanjing.

Since Tangshan is a little town outside of Nanjing city and it`s quite far away, i would suggest to use a private car to drive there directly.

Nanjing nightlife tours - Bar crawling
In recent years Nanjing’s nightlife scene has undoubtedly changed for the better. The 1912 bar district is a common place to start a tour of Nanjing’s nightlife as it features Nanjing’s largest concentration of bars and clubs. Besides 1912, bars, pubs, clubs, karaokes, restaurants and not-so-mentionable locales are dispersed across the city, especially near Xinjiekou and close to the student population.
