Chehelsotoun Garden/Palace
This complex was enrolled as one of original Persian Gardens in UNESCO world heritage site. This garden existed at least from Tamerlane era. At the time of Shah Abbas, they built a mediocre building at this garden, But at the time of Shah Abbas 2 (the last shining star in Safavid's sky), the palace was renovated.
This palace consists of 3 main sections:1-columned hall (18 wooden columns of 13 m high), 2-mirror hall (decoration by Venetian mirrors) and 3- throne hall (reception hall).
Inside reception hall, there are 6 mural paintings. 2 of them from the Qajarid era and the other 4 from Safavid period. The two in the middle with lower quality and artistic prominence are from Qajar.
The most important point is that by reviewing different houses and palaces at the Qajarid time, there are lots of paints showing Chaldoran battle (between Ottomans and Iranians) that Iran could not conquer. They emphasized this battle to cover all of their weaknesses and faults.
