About this place

This is a small temple right next to big banyan tree on Peng Chau island.

Goddess Jinhua or Madame Jinhua was a righteous lady born to the family of a marital official. She was honoured as a goddess after her death.

This building is from 1762, replacing a crudely built Jinhua shring. The building fell in disrepair later, and was fully restored in 1978. Every year at the 17th day of the 4th lunar month her festival is celebrated.
