About this place

Despite its funny name Ma Shi which means 'horse poo' in Cantonese, the Ma Shi Chau Special Area brings you fresh air (doesn't smell like any poo) and breathtaking scenery. It's part of the National Geopark and a lot of stories start from the nearby Sam Mun Tsai New Village, a small fish village that is here for more than 50 years. The trail itself is an easy and pleasant hike in on a sunny day! To warn you, there are hundreds of graves around the hill and you may not want to come here at night!
