Western architecture crowned with Oriiental style's roof made it difference from other western buildins on the Island. It built by  Philippion Oversea Chinese Mr. Huang Xiulang and Mr. Huang Nianyi. Mr. Huang Xiulang was a millionaire in Philippion and government officer in China in 19 century. The two-layer roof also is the symbol of the owner's status.
