About this place

Palermo district of Buenos Aires is home to Buenos Aires Zoo that contains a large number of animals pertaining to different species. This zoo can be divided into several sections. There is the Farm of the Zoo or in Spanish La Granja Del Zoo where people can see some domestic animals which can also be seen on farms such as chickens, turkeys, rabbits, cows, ponies, donkeys, sheep, goats...

Aquarium part, of course, is a home to different fish species of which most famous are piranhas, sea bass, cat fish... Here visitors can attend seal show, of course, for an extra fee.

The third part is dedicated to reptiles and is called the Reptile house while the Tropical Rainforest section contains more plants and artificial waterfalls than animals. But this doesn´t mean there isn´t any animal in this section. There is an iguana which is really impressive near the exit of this section.

Big cats are somehow separated as they deserve special attention while other animals like pandas, elephants, hippos, llamas... can also be seen in the zoo. Animals like hippo have also water and people can see them from underwater.

Since camels are mostly seen in Africa they are housed in an area which resembles on Moroccan architecture while elephants are surrounded by an area that resembles to the ruins of a temple in India.

This is really beautiful and spacious zoo interesting both for children and adults.
