The Drum Tower used to be the city clock for Yuan,Ming,Qing three dynasties, which has a history more than 700 years.

There is an old saying,'Morning bell,Evening drum',Drum Tower was the evening clock for the whole city,there were 25 drums in the drum tower,when all the big drums were played together,the sound could travel more than 8 km.

Today you will be lucky to watch the drum performance to feel the different moment in the drum tower.
