Shimaotianjie has an English name called THE PLACE, which is a shopping center with two main buildings oppsite one another and connected by a shelter with overhead screen, impressive to watch the screen at night.

I don’t know if it’s the best lamb curry in Beijing but it’s my favorite.  I eat at Ganges often and the lamb vindaloo is as spicy and flavorful as any I’ve tried in the past.  Service is quite nice and responsive and the interior is thoughtfully designed and comfortable.

In the summer months go for the yogurt based mango lassi drinks. The Salt (it’s good) is also great.  In the more
