Since the German-style restaurant caters largely to foreign business people staying in the hotel, the prices for both food and drinks are considerably higher than most places in Shenyang. Locations--Government Square, Taiyuan Street, San Hao Street, Da Dong Recently debuted in Shenyang, Subway now has four locations around town. Unlike McDonald’s and KFC, Subway remains relatively unknown to Chinese people, but still seems to be catching on slowly. Those craving a delicious sandwich can either make it themselves or head to Subway, as few other places in Shenyang offer such a Western delicacy. Tags: Fast food, Sandwiches

On the first floor of the Wenhua Lu Carrefour Store. Suoller (known by most foreigners as "SPR") offers a wide selection of Western cuisine: pizza, pasta, steak, appetizers, and coffee. The food is reliable enough, and it’s an excellent value.

San Jing Jie, across from the US Consulate Just recently opened in December 2006, Heidi’s claims to be “your typical Swiss restaurant.” While the surrounding scenery might not compare with the Swiss Alps, the inside is definitely worth a visit. The building’s façade is meant to resemble a mountain chalet, and the inside has a very nice atmosphere, well suited for romantic encounters.

San Jing Jie, across from the U.S. Consulate Tokyo is probably Shenyang’s most well-known Japanese restaurant. They serve delicious Japanese food. While the food is quite good, the prices are a little high and the portions are a little small…real Japanese style.
