I hadn't heard of this place before I went. I thought I might-as-well go since it's on the way to the Terra-Cotta Warriors.
It was absolutely packed with tourists so it was hard to move around.
I was impressed with the statue of Yang, Guifei. She was the favourite concubine of a Chinese emperor (Xuan Zong, in the Tang Dyansty, I think). By looking at the statue, I can see she actually had a body on her. For those that don't know, nowadays, in China, if a woman doesn't have a body similar in size and shape to that of a pre-pubescent boy/girl, she will probably think she's fat. Seems some Chinese people in the past had better taste in women. Good job emperor!
