Getting to Xiamen from abroad is getting to be very convenient and relatively inexpensive for all types of visitors. Xiamen boasts direct flights from Tokyo, Osaka, Seoul, Singapore, Bangkok, Penang, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur and Manila. There are also international connections via Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong which provide non lay-over access to Xiamen.
From within China many visit Xiamen by train, bus or plane.
An efficient public bus system along with an abundance of reasonably priced taxis make it a simple task to move around Xiamen. To get to Gulangyu, Xiamen's most popular tourist sight, you will take a 10 minute ferry Ride.
