Sometimes foreigners in China just have one of those days when you can no longer stomach even a morsel of Chinese food and you just need the taste of something familiar. Fortunately Wuxi offers all the old favourites: McDonald’s, KFC, Pizza Hut, and of course, Starbuck’s.

 

As you go through the door you may feel as if you are suddenly back in a Western country. However, once you scan the menu you will find that some of your old favourites are missing, and that some very cultural alternatives have been put in their place. Be a bit adventurous, and go ahead and try them. Rest assure that the quality will still meet the standards of your home country.

 

The staff at these types of establishments will usually speak at least a spattering of English. They will also offer picture menus.
