Wendy Wei Tours -independent travel around China, without the hassles! Firstly, I must thank you for taking the time to visit and read the Synotrip profile for Wendy Wei Tours! In case you weren't aware, my name is Wendy Wei and I'm a professional and fluent English-speaking tour guide based in Guilin, Guangxi Province (Southern China). I participated and successfully compeleted a level 1 first aid course held by Red Cross in Beijing and I can speak basic Spanish. Right now I also run my own tour business named -Wendy Wei Tours! Whilst I live in Guilin (when not on tour!), I do provide tours throughout primarily Guangxi Province (e.g. Yangshuo, Longsheng & Sanjiang) as well as Hunan and Guizhou Province (e.g. Fenghuang, Zhangjiajie, Anshun, Guiyang, Kaili, Zhaoxing etc.). All of these provinces are rich in both culture and stunning scenery. In a sense, Guangxi and Guizhou Provinces provide visitors an insight into the 'last frontier' of China. Despite the Eastern Coastal and inland cities (e.g Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou) rapidly developing, Western China has lagged behind allowing visitors to experience China's natural beauties amongst many different ethnic minorities. As a member of the Zhuang Ethnic Minority Group, I specialize in providing private and insightful 'Minority' tours throughout the region. However, I'm also very experienced in all destinations around Guilin, Yangshuo, Longsheng and Sanjiang. Whether you're seeking a single-day Guilin tour guide, a multiple day Guangxi/Guizhou Provinces provinces tour and everything in between, I'm your expert! ...and yes, I'm a fluent English-speaking tour guide able to discuss many topics (not just tourism attractions!) :) For further information, please email me (wendy@wendyweitours.com) or visit the website: www.wendyweitours.com I look forward to introducing you to China! Reviews of Wendy-Wei
A mediados de marzo del 2013 yo y mi amigo fuimos de viaje desde Japon para Guilin.
We spent three wonderful days in January 2013 exploring Guilin and the country side. The three days were planned by Wendy Wei so that we made the most of our time even with the challenge of the ever changing weather. Not only did we explore Guilin and the highlights of the city, the shops, the markets and the local tourist spots, we also journeyed outside of Guilin to see the famous Li River, the local villages and the Rice Paddies. We went on a river ride on the Li River, a trip to a beautiful limestone cave, went on an evening cruise of the Guilin lakes and even experienced a demonstration of the local fishing with cormorants (a type of bird). The whole trip was awesome and we owe it all to Wendy. She was very accommodating and flexible in order to meet our needs. We also had true taste of the local food. Again Wendy was very helpful in making recommendations of what locals eat and we tried it all. The trip was very educational as well. I am a person with many questions, and Wendy was great at explaining everything, including the local history. I highly recommend Wendy as a tour guide. Wendy is extremely professional and understands both western and eastern etiquette. I have been on many tours around the world and I would rate Wendy as one of the best. Thank you Wendy. You made our holiday really special.
We travelled to Guilin for three days in January. Wendy made our trip worthwhile. She is the best tour guide we have come across in our travels throughout Asia. Very professional and first class service. Her command of english is exceptional. She listened to what we wanted to see during our visit to this area, and even made further suggestions on sights we were unaware of. The result was a truly rewarding and interesting three days. She did not disappoint us, especially with her depth of knowledge of Guilin and the surrounding areas. We would highly recommend Wendy if you should have the opportunity to visit Guilin - you will not be disappointed.

Lantern Festival falls on the last day of Chinese New Year. Base on the Chinese Lunar Calendar, the 15th is the first night that people can see a full moon. We named it as YuanXiao Festival. According to the Chinese traditional , full moon is a symbol of family reunion and things work out with a happy ending.
For the Purpose of welcoming Chinese New Year, setting up the fireworks and firecrackers is a traditional celebration that most of the Chinese will take part it. Normally in Chinese New Year Eve, almost every family will preparing some firecrackers and counting down the minutes and seconds of the New Year and then set them up in front of their house.
