The park got his name from the Phong Nha Cave which is the most famous cave in the park. The park is special for its biodiversity, caves, and grottoes. This is one of the top places for eco tourism, kayaking, cave explorations, and climbing adventures because of dozens of mountain peaks higher than 1000 meters. The Phong Nha Cave is 7729 meters long, it has 14 grottoes with amazing stalactites and stalagmites. Tourists are available to see only 1,500 m of the cave which is continuously shaped by the Chay River. Other popular caves are the Tien Son Cave, Thien Duong Cave, and Son Doong Cave. Besides the natural beauties there are also important archeological relics from the Neolithic age which proves the human activity in the area even in that period. The tourism develops rapidly in the park where the travel agencies according to the park administration rules organize the expeditions. ![]() ![]() ![]() Photos from Phong Nha-Ke Bang
