Good things come in small packages! These words is proof to describe the wonderful personality of my new friend, Yoyo. She is smart and knows a lot about the city and Chinese culture. Yoyo is also very kind to plan out my itinerary, take photos and go shopping. I highly recommend Yoyo to be your tour guide. Thank you Yoyo, for the beautiful memories! See you next time.....Peter, Australia.

With my flight to Beijing delayed for more than 10hours, I was panicking because I would have wasted a day trip.

However, with Coco, she made it possible for me and my mom to see and experience as much as possible. I was very touched with the warmth she and her driver (Mr Zhao) provided. It was unlike any other trips I’ve been to. Me and my mom were caught with a flu during the trip and she brought us to get some medicine. My mom got it worse and they are both constantly asking how she was feeling.

Her historical knowledge is rich and she’s very kind. I am very glad that I have Coco for my Beijing trip because not only I had learnt lots about China history, I had truly enjoyed myself. Thankyou Coco and Mr Zhao for your hospitality!

Nancy was a great tour guide. I was on a tight timeline, so he personalized a private tour for me (Terracotta Warriors, City Wall, Big Pagoda) with a driver and comfortable car that met my needs. Her price was very competitive (I shopped around) and she even treated me to nice lunch where we sampled the local foods. Her English is very good and certainly the best of the 4-5 different English speaking tour guides I have used in various cities across China. She had a very good understanding of Chinese history and culture.

Allen even suggested a few extra sights I could visit on my own the next day before my flight. She gave me instructions in Chinese to give the various taxi drivers to make my last few hours in Xi'an most enjoyable. Thanks again!!!!

Your search is over -- Coco is the guide you want!

She's not only a local professional licensed guide who can tell you all the history about everything, she genuinely wants you to have a good visit to Beijing. She avoided all the tourist traps and fought off the street vendors for us!

I see that other reviewers went with her multiple times, and I will definitely be doing the same. Coco showed us around Beijing, and even connected us to her friend (who was also an excellent guide) for our visit to Xian.

IF(!) you decide to go with someone else, be sure to ask for a picture of their tour guide license. I've seen a fake one that takes you to all the tourist traps for their commissions.

Thank you again Coco!

My husband and I visited Harbin recently. We were keen to find a local guide who would be able to assist us in maximising the sights and sounds over our short stay. We were SO HAPPY to have found Lucy.

Prior to arriving in Harbin, I had done some of my own research and planning of the trip, I had a clear idea of what we wanted to see but I soon realised that I would need some local knowledge and the help with the language.

I contacted Lucy via email prior to the trip and she was very informative and generous with the information and itinerary planning.  We had initially thought we would need Lucy for just a day, but am glad we decided to ask for her help for 2 whole days.

Harbin is a wonderful city but commuting around it can be difficult with a language barrier and time consuming especially in the harsh winter and if your stay is a short one.

If you have a short time in Harbin and want to see all the sights and learn about the history of the place, then Lucy is the person to have by your side ! Lucy planned an amazing itinerary for us and each day was spent to the max. with seeing and learning about the place. Lucy was very generous with her time and often insisted on staying with us until we were happy to call it a day. Her recommendations to food and things to do were spot on. She is a great communicator and her English is excellent. We had so much laughs together. We felt like we were seeing Harbin with a good friend rather than with a 'guide.'

Lucy also arranged for a private car for both days (at our request) and we were glad because our driver was excellent and the cost was extremely reasonable considering the dodgy taxi fares/traffic and waiting time for both days. Both Lucy and our diver were very accommodating and we can truly recommend them both to friends and family.

Thank you Lucy for a great time in Harbin. We will keep in touch and if you ever come to Melbourne, Australia, we hope we could show you around too !

I've just come back from a wonderful holiday in Harbin (in the dead of winter!)

Lucy is amazing - she speaks English very well and is everything you want a guide to be - helpful, knowledgeable, friendly and has a sense of humour.

I was there for 3 days so she showed me all of the sights including the Siberian Tiger Park, Sun Island Snow Park and Ice and Snow World.  She is very accommodating as she waited for me in the cold with no complaints while I visited an attraction she did not come into with me.  She waited as she was worried I would not be able to get a taxi back to the city that evening.

She was always concerned for my welfare and ensuring I was warm enough in the -20 C degree temperatures during the day (the evenings were even colder!).  Lucy even provided with me extra gloves in case mine weren't warm enough.

She knows her city inside out, having grown up there, and a very good amabassador for a city with so much history crammed into the last 100 years.  Being a local she  will ensure you don't get ripped off by taxi drivers and will make sure you get a good table in a restaurant.

We ate lots of the local food (Russian and Chinese) together and Lucy is full of recommendations and suggestions of where to eat and shop.

We had a lot of laughs between the two of us over the three days and she certainly made my stay hassle free. Harbin is geared up for Chinese (Mandarin reading/speaking) tourists but not westerners so having a local at my side was great.

I travelled to Argentina on my own several weeks ago, and I was very keen to get a sense of the genuine local culture rather than just a few stops at the typical tourist destinations. Carla was absolutely amazing: she put together a plan of what to see and where to go that was made specifically for what I wanted to get out of my trip (which in my case was focused around food, tango and local customs, but not exclusively this). She was also essential for her language skills: I had gotten an allergic reaction to a mosquito bite and needed medical care, and I was so happy she was there to translate and deal with all the medical specialists for me. After this experience it was really clear to me how important it is to have a local by your side. Best of all, Carla is simply lovely! She's great company, interesting, energetic and really loves her city - spending time with her in Buenos Aires was such a pleasure. I couldn't possibly recommend her more highly.

We spent three wonderful days in January 2013 exploring Guilin and the country side.  The three days were planned by Wendy Wei so that we made the most of our time even with the challenge of the ever changing weather.  Not only did we explore Guilin and the highlights of the city, the shops, the markets and the local tourist spots, we also journeyed outside of Guilin to see the famous Li River, the local villages and the Rice Paddies.  We went on a river ride on the Li River, a trip to a beautiful limestone cave, went on an evening cruise of the Guilin lakes and even experienced a demonstration of the local fishing with cormorants (a type of bird).  The whole trip was awesome and we owe it all to Wendy.  She was very accommodating and flexible in order to meet our needs.  We also had true taste of the local food.  Again Wendy was very helpful in making recommendations of what locals eat and we tried it all.  The trip was very educational as well.  I am a person with many questions, and Wendy was great at explaining everything, including the local history.  I highly recommend Wendy as a tour guide.  Wendy is extremely professional and understands both western and eastern etiquette.  I have been on many tours around the world and I would rate Wendy as one of the best.  Thank you Wendy.  You made our holiday really special.

Hi Nancy, just to say a big Thank You for a great tour!
I really enjoyed the opportunity to talk to you about anything to do with Chinese
Culture. And I found that if I wanted to stay longer or move on, that you were very
accommodating and even went out of your way to make sure that I could do other things
that weren't listed on the tour.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend you to anyone who is interested in a tour of Pingyao.
Thanks again.
