My husband and I have known Ronnie and Baba since March 1998 when we made the first of our many trips to Sri Lanka. We have been on 2 safaris and several small trips with them and have always found them to be very polite, respectful and helpful. We are looking forward to seeing them again this year when we make our next trip.

We booked for Ronnie and Ronnie emailed to say he was available fr our trip date. But then his biz partner who is a foreigner JANE FLETCHER who claims to be Ronnie's assistant kept pushing us to use this tour guide called Baba who claims to have 20yrs experience in tourguiding. I ask Jane if he is really good and she say he is their tour director n is very good. I told her i trusted her.

OMG he is a total piece of CRAP cos he doesnt know alot. Always push us to go expensive restaurants for meals so they can have good food as well, always bad mouthing in their local language with the driver about us. He doesnt introduce the place where we passed or arrived. Push us to buy coconut whisky when we kept saying no. To later find out it was them who wanted to drink.

we wanted to go via the highway from Galle back to Mt Lavinia, they ignored us and went the longer route cos the tour guide wanted the driver to drop him at his place. The driver was very dangerous with his driving, always swerving in n out of lanes to overtake. A few times we almost run into a bus!

This left a bad after taste. DO NOT BOOK WITH THESE PEOPLE! Horrible LIARS!

I visited Harbin in Jan. 2013 from the US with my 11 year old son and my 75 year old father-in-law.  My FIL speaks a bit of Mandarin so that helped us get around, but I really wanted to get a tour guide for our first day in Harbin to help us learn the ropes and to get us out to the main Ice Festival.  We booked Lucy for one day and it was one of the best decisions we made on our trip.  We learned a lot of local history on our tour and I didn't feel as bad about taking my son out of school to visit Harbin.  Lucy was very knowledgeable and was willing to tailor the level of detail to our party.  We went to St. Sophia and the central street early in the day and to the ice/snow parks at night.  Getting a taxi is Harbin can be very difficult and having Lucy to help us arrange transportation was very valuable.

Also we just enjoyed having Lucy as part of our group.  She was very pleasant to talk with and we all got to know each other pretty well during the course of the day.  We were sad to say good buy at the end of the day and we will certainly ask for her help when we return to Harbin again.  She also really help me and my son take care of my FIL.  He has a tendency to wonder off or to be a little too brave crossing the street in traffic.  Lucy stuck by his side the whole day and kept him out of trouble.  She watched over him like a daughter and he was happy to talk with her and learn more about current life in China.

Lucy helped us get a great start to our trip.  Overall Harbin far exceeded my expectations.  Not only were the snow and ice festivals great, but there were also a lot of great things for my son to do.  We enjoyed walking across the frozen river and there were lots of sledding runs and outdoor ice activities for both young and old.  I was surprised how vibrant the center of the city was despite the cold.  It seems like this could be a nice to place to visit in the summer also.  Please contact me if you have questions.

Hi !

I recently visited Shanghai, while traveling overseas. I had the privilege of having Amy as a guide for two days. We visited several fantastic places in Shanghai and also had a wonderful day trip to Hangzhou. Amy has excellent English and is a very knowledgeable guide. She knows about many details of Shanghai and Hangzhou, and made many excellent recommendations. I was especially impressed by how she did additional research to ensure my trip went well. She also has a great personality - and is a very nice and fun person to travel with. Overall, I would strongly recommend Amy for both as a travel guide and a translator.

Thanks and best wishes =)

Hello!!

Sorry for the late answer but I was traveling a lot in January.

We have returned from our trip to China. We had a wonderful time. Because we booked through you, our trip was completely wonderful. We plan to come again and will use you again.

Bree, our tour guide, was excellent. We really enjoyed her and will recommend her to our friends. I would like to express our deepest appreciation for the tremendous service and personal joy that we received from her. This is our first trip to Beijing and we feel very fortunate to have had her as our hostess and guide. With the partnership of our driver Mr. Wong, very nice and professional, our trip was beyond our expectation.

We will remember our fantastic sights, wonderful foods, memorable scenery and most of all, the true Chinese hospitality provided by Linda and Mr. Wong. We will tell all of our friend about them and recommend you.

Sincerely

Darleen and Lee

Dear Rain/Philip,

I should first like to thank you for all your help. Both guide and driver were brilliant. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Both were very good however the Peking Duck restaurant was the best because it was such a beautiful setting, the staff were brilliant and the food was delicious.

The guide was very good, extremely knowledgeable offering lots of interesting anecdotes as well as facts as we traveled to each place. She also answered questions intelligently and informatively. Selina was polite, courteous and friendly throughout the whole of the tour as was the driver.  The car was always perfectly clean, water was always available. The driver was always cheerful, polite and obviously very an experienced driver.

We cannot thank Rain enough for all her help, her knowledge, her willingness to wait patiently whilst I struggled to walk up the steps, her fun and her sense of humor. Without her, the holiday would have been far less enjoyable.

The most awesome moment for both of us was definitely being able to walk on the Great Wall. We were very grateful that the tour was changed to allow us to go to Mutianyu. We also enjoyed the trip to Tiananmen Square and the visit to the Summer Palace was a fitting ending to the tour although we would have liked more time there.

Thank you Wendy for the shopping and banking experience. The bad weather did not stop us enjoy the beautiful landscape and market atmosphere. Wendy is also very kind to introduce me to traditional food, fast food, and make sure that my trip runs smoothly. Thank you Wendy for your help, you are the best! Peter, Australia (Perth)

Timmy did a great job showing us around the Stone Forest and Jiuxiang Caves.  She was very knowledgeable about both locations and arranged for a very competent driver to pick us up at the airport and drive us around.  Both my wife and daughter had a great time as well and enjoyed talking with Timmy.  I highly recommend her as a guide anytime you are in the Kunming area.

On a recent trip to Shenzhen my wife a friend and I  hired Jade to show us around the city.  She was delightful to spend the day with.  She helped us with shopping and suggested a very good place for lunch. Her ability to interpret was invaluable. I would highly recommend Jade for anyone who needs a guide.

This is the second time that I use Echo's service, the first was 2010, I'm so glad that she still remembers me when I emailed her 2 months ago.

We went to Shanghai, Suzhou and Nanjing for 5 days, I had a great time with Echo, she is clever, easy-going, kind.... well, I think everything about her is wonderful, Also she is very creative and educated, much more than a tour guide, she is more like a director to Chinese culture and history.

Thanks Echo! I'm looking forward to see you next time in China!
