Taoxian International Airport ( 桃仙国际机场 táoxiān guójì jīchǎng )

Located 20 km south of the city, Taoxian Airport takes about 45 minutes from the city center by car. Plane tickets can be purchased at travel agencies and ticket outlets all over the city. The attendants at most hotels can also help you book tickets (sometimes for a modest fee). Elong is an easy-to-use English website to search for plane tickets. Taoxian Airport has regular flights to and from most major destinations in mainland China, as well as Hong Kong, Seoul, and Tokyo. 

  

From the Airport: Those arriving in Shenyang by air will find a bus waiting right outside the terminal that takes passengers into the city for around 10 yuan. If you take a taxi, it’s a good idea to agree on a price with the driver before getting into the car. The fare should cost around 50 yuan (possibly a bit more if it’s late at night). If the driver quotes a much higher rate, then simply find another one.

  

To the Airport: If you purchase plane tickets in Shenyang, the ticket seller will sometimes provide an inexpensive ride to the airport. Also, some of the major hotels may provide shuttle service for their guests. If not, take a bus from Ma Lu Wan for 10 yuan. There is one bus every hour with the last bus at 7:00 pm. A taxi from the city should cost around 50 yuan, but possibly a little more if coming from the far north side of town. Again, agree on a price before getting into the taxi.
