Those tired of ordinary Chinese restaurants will certainly be relieved by the change of culinary pace at Thai Wei Tai. This three story  restaurant has a beautiful atmosphere that is quite unique compared to the norm for Shenyang. The lighting is dim, but the Buddhist ornaments include shiny gold and bright colors, which makes the place suitable for a romantic evening or a night out with a bunch of friends. 

Thai Wei Tai offers a very large selection of food—the menu itself is enormous and includes lots of full color pictures of a wide range of curries, seafood, meats, vegetables, Thai-style hotpot, and desserts. The dishes are delicious and very beautifully presented. The restaurant also has a full bar with a good selection of Chinese and imported wines and beers. 

  

The prices here are on the expensive side, but not unreasonable. Plan on spending 50-100 yuan per person for dinner. 

 

If you’re in Shenyang for any length of time, Thai Wei Tai is well worth a visit.
