Recently renovated and reopened, Mulligan’s is proof that Irish Bars can indeed be found everywhere in the world. Mulligan’s has a dark, dusky atmosphere, which is likely consistent with what one would expect from an Irish Pub in Shenyang, China. The bar features live music from Monday to Saturday starting at 8:00pm. Mulligan usually switches the nightly act of a band or singers every five months or so, usually foreigners that can perform a mostly English language repertoire. Recent acts have included performers from the Philippines, Russia, and Cuba.

The Pub also has two foosball tables, an available private room, and a giant screen TV for watching soccer matches, NBA playoffs, etc.

Mulligan’s is the place to go for celebrating most Western Holidays. It’s just about the only place to find festivities for Halloween, Christmas, St. Patrick’s Day, Oktoberfest, etc. The parties usually include buffet-dinner, drink specials, prizes, and entertainment for 100-200元.

Mulligan’s is one of the more expensive bars in Shenyang, as it caters largely to foreign guests staying in the Holiday Inn or Intercontinental Hotel. However, there is usually a good mix of travelers, Shenyang expats, and Chinese guests.

Large Tap Beers from 30
Shots/cocktails from 30
Decent selection of Chinese and foreign wine—wide price range
Food is decent but overpriced

I read the review from guest in Aug 09 and just have to comment.I am sure he was in some other bar.
Yes it is a little pricey but so are all the 4 or 5 star hotels in Shenyang.
I have been going there at least twice a month since my first visit to Shenyang in June 2008 ( now 20 months)
The service is excellent, the free goodies are a nice touch and yes they now know how to pour a Guiness with just the right amount of foam.....
All the bartender girls are friendly and efficient and the Philipino groups keep getting better.
Many locals as well as buisness visitors now come......most nights of the week....
If you like the oldies from the 70 or 80's and even older at times......i would recommend it
a great place to drink and talk with your friends...if you want to dance there is a great dance floor to boot...
and no i do not work there.....LOL
have a good time......if you are an expat in shenyang.......drop by http://www.expatacular.com/ and look up shenyang

This pub is not a real Irish Pub at all. The staff are very poorly trained and really don't give a sheyet, their attitude stinks, leaving you wondering why you are in a bar in a very cheap part of China being charged £3 for a flat local draft beer and £7 for poorly poured & rediculously overpriced Guinness. I've never been to a more typical example of Chinese Management not giving a rats arse about their customers. Unfortunately as it is inside the Holiday Inn so the foreign business and hookers that hang around for them seem to keep the place in business, I'd rather drink pisch ! Hopefully one day a GM of the IHG will wake up and turn the place around, until then DON'T BOTHER.
