Tourist Attractions in Shanghai
|
|
Tourist attractions in Shanghai are of a different breed compared with many other cities in China. Do not expect to be overwhelmed with extraordinary "Chinese" cultural sites. Alternatively, expect to be impressed with some fantastic spots that are a little off the beaten track and certainly much in contrast to the sites in Beijing or Xi’An. Those who’ve seen their fill of Buddhist temples are certainly permitted to skip Jing’An Temple, which while beautiful, is still similar to most other temples. Instead, head to the Tea Market; a little more difficult to find, but guaranteed to leave each visitor with a unique memory. If the idea of crazy crowds at the Yu Gardens makes you a little claustrophobic, head over to Luxun Park to stroll about the surrounding historic neighborhoods which overflow with impressive architecture. There are so many wonderful spots in Shanghai; you really cannot go wrong. Go and explore is all I can say! Try out at least a few of these spots whose reviews pique your interest, and hopefully you will leave Shanghai with a positive impression of this one-of-a-kind city.
