Nanjing Donglu The adult toy store on Nanjing Dong Lu contains a small selection of adult only products. Typically stores selling these products in China are little hole-in-the-wall stores that hide behind signs that say “health care” in Chinese (保健, baojian). It’s interesting to see a store like this so prominently placed in such a high-traffic area of Shanghai. Tags: shops

No. 225, Shanxi Nanlu, between Fuxing Lu and Yongjia Lu Jingwen Flower Market is such a peaceful pleasure, especially considering its somewhat ironic location by the wild and stressful XiangYang market. The market is two stories filled with stall after stall of lilies, orchids, roses, and every other plant imaginable (both real and silk). The combined aroma of all of the flowers is simply wonderful.
