Hi, this is Samantha, you can call me Sam. I was born and raised in Nanjing, very familiar with Nanjing attractions, Nanjing culture, history, food, places that not many people know, and local people`s life here. I can give you advice and travel tips as well. I have been providing my services to foreigners in Nanjing on a part-time basis for 6 years. - I could give you some suggestions about hotel conditions, locations, services, whether the staff speak English when you choose a hotel. - I can pick you up at the Airport or Train Station so you wont feel nervous if this is your first time to Nanjing and dont know much about Chinese language. - If you need to book train/flight tickets i might can help you too. - I have a nice private car (KIA) and mini van (BuickGL8) with experienced drivers (my father or my uncle, they both driving car safely for more than 20 years), cars are available for rent, cheaper than any car rental company. - I could be your shopping assistant or assistant of living in Nanjing, such as Nanjing local food, supermarket, open markets, electrical appliances, cheap but good quality DVDs, where to go for nightlifes, thearters or so. - I also be able to travel to Suzhou, Wuxi, Changzhou, Zhenjiang, Yangzhou, cities that around Nanjing, we could take trains or long distance buses. Tour Date - March 16, 2013 If you want to see and understand Nanjing, you will be in good hands with Samantha. While planning a visit with my son who is studying in Hangzhou, he suggested a trip to Nanjing for its historical interest. After contacting Samantha via email about a one day tour she asked what our interests were - I replied history. Samantha came through - it was a fascinating and educational day. While my son and I could have gone to all the same sites on our own, we would not have seen or understood half of what we saw with Samantha --- she helped provide the perspective to bring it to life. My work associate and I had a great trip with Samantha's help. She met us at the train station, otherwise we may have been a little lost not speaking any Chinese, even after our flight got canceled from the night before. She got us to our hotel and helped check in and then showed us around the area of our hotel so we would know places to go for the week while we worked. The next weekend she took us to some excellent dining places, Chinese food as well as an excellent Korean Barbecue restaurant. Best was the noodles!!! She even went out of her way to find us Americans "COLD" beer as apparently warm beer is the norm. We also went to come cultural sights which put some things in perspective. Purple mountain will be the only good place for hiking and breathing fresh air of Nanjing city. Choose a sunny weekend, go to the top of the mountain, there will have a good view of the city and you could also take a cable car down, then have some good local Nanjing food. In the afternoon, if your feet is tired, I know some good places for good foot massage.

Nanjing Tangshan is famous for the hot spring, hot spring is good for your skin and health, and relaxing your body and get rid of the press. Maybe you don't like all the tourist attractions in the downtown, here would be one of another option.

27 Yuan/person Tangshan Ancient Ape Man Caves was discovered in 1990 and opened to public in 1993. Archaeologist found 2 skulls of one male and female which both the same period of Beijing ancient Ape man. It`s an earthshaking news of world. Inside of the cave, there many ancient tools that Apes created and used for daily life. The stalactite inside is another incredible view.

No.390 Mochou Road Originally constructed nearly 400 years ago, Mochou Road Church is the oldest Catholic Cathedral in Nanjing and one of the municipal cultural relics. It is said that the church was built by an Italian churchman who was considered “the forerunner to promoting cultural exchanges between east and west”.

20-25 Yuan/ticket This gate is the Southern gate of the whole city wall, as well as the largest castle gate in the world. The whole city wall is about 33km and took about 20 years to finish it. You can walk on the wall or even biking on it, super nice!
