The Temple of Seti I is a mortuary temple which construction begun during his reign but was finished by his son Ramesses the Great. The temple has the shape of an L. The facade has ten columns while, perhaps the most interesting part of the temple is the sanctuary area that is a sort of a triple shrine of the Theban Triad.

This beautiful museum was opened by Marcus Simaika Pasha in 1910. The Museum houses valuable collections of Coptic Christian artifacts. An excellent collection of Nubian art is exhibited in this museum after it was saved from floods in of Lake Nasser.

This is actually the first Egyptian Pyramid built around 2630 BC in the Saqqara necropolis. Imhotep built this pyramid for his pharaoh Djoser from the 3rd dynasty of Ancient Egypt.

The Pyramid consists of six mastabas and it was originally 62 m high. This Pyramid has an inside colonnade and a labyrinth of chambers and galleries.

The Pompey´s Pillar which was in fact erected to honor the emperor Dioclecian is the tallest ancient monument in Alexandria. Besides that, it is also the largest pillar constructed outside Rome and Constantinople, which were the two capitals of the Roman Empire. This column is built of red Aswan granite and almost 27 m high.

In 1967, due to construction works, the only Roman Amphitheater of this kind in Egypt, was discovered. It was built in the 2nd century AD. It is estimated that the theater with its 13 tires could receive 800 spectators. The theater includes galleries, sections of mosaic, marble seats, and columns, two of which are still standing by the theater.
