The Louvre Museum is the most visited art museum in the world, and it is a historic monument as well. It is the largest museum in France and it exhibits collections of western art from the Middle Ages to the 1850s.
The Avenue des Champs Élysées is also known as ´La plus belle avenue du monde´ which means ´The most beautiful avenue in the world´. The phrase speaks for itself. This avenue rins almost two km and it is 70 m wide.

The Cathedrale Notre Dame de Paris is a Roman Catholic cathedral and one of the best examples of French Architecture. On the same location where today stands the cathedral, there was a Roman temple dedicated to Jupiter. Prior to the cathedral and after the temple, on the same location, there was located a Christian Basilica and a Romanesque church.

Arc de Triomphe de l´Etoile is located in the center of the Place Charles de Gaulle, at the western end of the famous avenue Champs-Élysées. Except from being one of the most famous monuments in Paris it is 49.5 m high, which makes ti the second largest triumphal arch in the world.
