Established in 1923, St. Paul’s Church is the first official Christian church in Nanjing. The church’s design is meant to imitate the style of European churches in rural areas. It is gothic architecture with  exquisite decoration. The inner structure reflects traditional Chinese style.

This small scenic area in the northwest part of Nanjing was supposedly named "Swallow Rock" as its shape resembles a swallow.  It is not one of Nanjing’s most popular attractions, yet it still provides an excellent and an up-close view of the Chang Jiang (长江 - Also called Yangzi River or Yangtze River).

The dimunitive Jiuhua Hill (Jiuhua Shan) lies alongside the Ming City Wall and the south side of Xuanwu Lake.  What draws most visitors to Jiuhua Hill is the Xuanzang Temple.

        Confucius , born in 551B.C and died in 479B.C, is the founder of the Confucius School in China. He is the great educator and great thinker, having famed the world over. His name is Kong Qiu, but he styled himself Zhong Ni.

Jiming Temple was founded in 300 AD during the Eastern Jin Dynasty.  Since then it has been destroyed and reconstructed several times.  It was last destroyed by fire in 1973 and restored again in 1981.  It is now one of Nanjing’s most active temples.
