Roma serves Italian gelato, espresso, cappuccino and pizza inside the Shanxi Lu public park. As far as we know, it is the only place to get real Italian gelato in Nanjing. Roma also serves some of the better pizza in Nanjing. Roma’s pizza is characterized by a thin crust, an abundance of oregano and Italian toppings such as capers, olives and seafood.

 

Prices are moderate to high by Nanjing standards. 30-40 yuan will get you a 10-inch pizza while 3 scoops of gelato ice cream costs about 30 yuan.

 

Roma is suitable for a small meal or business lunch. Seating is quite limited, but since it is an Italian locale in a park full of Chinese people, there is still lots of room. The menu is available in English, however, the twenty-something gelato flavors are only labeled in Italian and Chinese.
