Xinwangfa Restaurant serves Cantonese cuisine along with a few other categories of Chinese and international dishes. It would be a tough task to find another Cantonese restaurant in Nanjing that combines good food, a decent price, and cleanliness the way Xinwangfa does.
When this restaurant was last checked it was absolutely spotless. Even by Western standards, the bathrooms were flawlessly clean. One drawback is that the menu does not have English, nor a wide selection of pictures of dishes.
Directions: Xinwangfa is located behind some buildings on Hunan Lu, so it is not visible from the road. To find the restaurant, walk down the little street next to Hunan Lu Department Store (湖南路商场). It is also right next to the park at the western end of Hunan Lu. It is a pleasant 10 minute walk from the Xuanwu Men subway station to Xinwangfa.
