Wanqinglou is the ideal place to get acquainted with many of Nanjing’s special dishes all in one sitting. 24 beautifully prepared mini-dishes are brought to each customer. Prices for the set-menus range from 100 to 300 yuan per person. Although the more expensive sets have some fancier items, each set has the specialties that are the main tourist draw.  Just a few of the dishes served are Nanjing salty duck, duck-blood soup, fried beef dumplings, soup dumplings, five-fragrance beans, five fragrance egg, return-to-sauce tofu, stinky tofu and various local vegetables.

 

 

Wanqinglou is located inside the Confucius Temple area which is in the south-east of Nanjing. Take a bus or taxi to any entrance of Confucius Temple and walk towards the middle area of the market.
