Sep 03, 2009 — KateMochou Lake and Xuanwu Lake are two famous lakes in Nanjing, local Nanjing people all know them. Which one is better? Which one does local people like more?
I`ve been thinking about this for a long time, and i`ve been asking many people about this question, and the answer is Xuanwu Lake win. Many people like Xuan Lake, and they also think Xuanwu Lake is famous and more interesting than Mochou Lake. An important factor that Xuanwu Lake can win is it have a around lake road for people to walk around, to enjoy the beautiful views and fresh air.
As myself, i like Xuanwu Lake too. :)
Dragon boat festival!

May 10, 2009 — MandyIt does have a story about Mochou Lake, but it`s a tale, i am not sure about if it`s true.
Mochou is from Luoyang, Henan Province, her mother died when she was a child only she and her father live together, father died when she was 15 years old, she dong have money to bury her father so she has to sold herself to a official`s family as a maid, and married to the son of this official.
One day Emperor Liang Wu Di came to this official`s house to visit him and saw Mochou, he fell in love with her at the first sight, but she already married, so Emperor Liang Wu Di made her husband die and try to pick her to Imperial Palace.
When Mochou found out this she would rather die than go to Imperial Palace, so she jumped into the Lake, and them her story was spare aways, people named the lake as Mochou to commemorate her.
Is this one have a story about it?

Apr 19, 2009 — Sam0831Mochou Lake is another famous classical garden in Nanjing beside Xuanwu Lake, it is the integration of culture of the Six Dynasties. The main attractions are former residence of Mochou, Shengqi Pavilion, Yujin Hall etc.
The lake is full of lotus roots when the water lilies are in blossom in summer time. In the center of the lake is an island that is accessible to tourists by boat.
The lake is also the site of dragon races during Dragon Boat Festival every year.
