The Project is located in Honmura, a small town on Naoshima Island. There is the Honmura Lounge which serves as an information center for the Art House Project.

Fujiyoshida City The Chureito Pagoda is a part of Arakura Sengen Shrine complex situated on the hill from where one can enjoy the most the beautiful view on Mount Fuji. The pagoda has five flors and it is very popular among people who love nature combined with culture. 
Mount Fuji is one of the symbols of Japan and the image of Mount Fuji with its white top is world-wide known. Even though the view on Mount Fuji is spectacular enough many people decide to climb at the summit.

The trails can be divided into three parts; the Western, Northern, and Eastern Hills. The walk on the western hills takes about 60-90 minutes and connects the public park, Jochiji Temple, and the Great Buddha (Daibutsu).   
Enoshima is a small island connected with the bridge to the mainland. Because of many attractions located here, Enoshima attracts numerous visitors every year. The island has beautiful beaches and excellent restaurants offering local food.

http://www.meijijingu.or.jp/english/ Meiji Jingu is a Shinto shrine dedicated to Emperor Meiji and his wife, Empress Shaken. The shrine has spacious grounds with walking paths. The original building was erected in 1926 but it was destroyed during the World War II. The new building was fiished in 1958. The shrine and its grounds cover 700,000 square meters. There are two major areas of the shrine territory: Naien and Gaien.
