Lantern Festival falls on the last day of Chinese New Year. Base on the Chinese Lunar Calendar, the 15th is the first night that people can see a full moon. We named it as YuanXiao Festival. According to the Chinese traditional , full moon is a symbol of family reunion and things work out with a happy ending.
For the Purpose of welcoming Chinese New Year, setting up the fireworks and firecrackers is a traditional celebration that most of the Chinese will take part it. Normally in Chinese New Year Eve, almost every family will preparing some firecrackers and counting down the minutes and seconds of the New Year and then set them up in front of their house.
Even though I personally wouldn't classify this park (Longtan Park) as a tourist attraction, since mainly locals were at the park, it's the best category available.

From 400 RMB per night The Radisson Blu Hotel is the only international 5 star hotel located in Liuzhou and probably the first of the many to come. All features as expected of a 5 star hotel. It's located overlooking the river and a few kilometres from the central walking street. Soft, comfortable beds -unlike the other majority of other hotels in Liuzhou!
Whilst most Chinese people know the saying - born in Suzhou, live in Hangzhou, eat in Guangzhou and die in Liuzhou, some of the local food specialties in my hometown are very unique (although they can't rival food from Guangzhou)!
Continuing from my previous article, namely the saying 'Born in Suzhou, Live in Hangzhou, Eat in Guangzhou and Die in Liuzhou', a famous (and very unique) souvenir sold in Liuzhou are the miniature coffins!

From 300 RMB per night The Lijing Hotel in Liuzhou is a 4 star hotel. From staying here previously, the bedding is relatively soft (not to the same level as Radisson Blu but still good). The hotel is more centrally located, nearby the walking street and city centre. Overall, cheaper, more cost-effective option but it's not a 5 star hotel either.

5 RMB per ticket Ho Chi Minh's Residence is where the former Northern Vietnamese leader lived between 1942 - 1944 (whilst he was in exile in China). This is one of the few preserved buildings located in Liuzhou City and whilst it doesn't have english exhibits (Vietnamese as well as Chinese), it can be an interesting destination for those who are interested.
