Visitors to Lijiang sometimes ask, which is better Lijiang or the old town of Shuhe?

These days, many Chinese prefer to go to Shuhe, because it is less crowded than Lijiang old town, but remember this:

there is an entrance fee to Shuhe, which is sometimes enforced at the main gate, depending on how you arrive and if you look like a tourist

Yak meadow in Naxi language is "bangnongguo' means beautiful and mysterious paradise.

Yak meadow locates at the very north side of jade dragon snow mountain scenic area, 45km from lijiang oldtwon.,with a size of 16.6squre km, the highest altitute of yak meadow is 4000m above sea level.

Yuhu, located right at the southern foot of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, is a gorgeous village far enough away from the tourist centers of Lijiang to maintain a more genuine authenticity, while still close enough to be convenient to visit.






 

I have been there many times. I think it is better to read some books first before you go to museum, especially some information about the Han dynasty which is second great dynasty after Qin dynasty. The Han culture, Han majority people and Han character (Chinese character) all came from the great era.

Baoshan Stone Town is an old and small town with one hundred families built on a huge stone on the upper Yangtze riverbank, located 110km to the North of Lijiang, Yunnan Province. This town was built in the late 13th century and resided by Naxi Ethnic Minority ever since then. With one side facing the Upper Yangtze River, the other three sides are steep cliffs.
