This is the top-a-most of the pop-a-most. A four star miracle in the middle of an otherwise challenging city, the News Hotel offers a full marquee of health, shopping, luxury, and dining options. The first time that I entered the Pyramid, I thought to myself that life is good and true. The best way to describe Lan Gui Fang is by simply stating that I'd actually love to party here even if I was back home. It's possible I've now been in China too long & have been deprived of beautiful places to sit and drink in, but Lan Gui Fang is great. Stepsin the middle of the square lead customers down into an underground wonderworld also known as Quan Cheng Square Shopping Center. Besides a deluxe supermarket that sells both local and foreign goods, many stores sell everything from pantyhose and makeup to basketballs and shuttlecocks.
Quan Jun Travel Lodge is bottom of the barrel pricewise. Nonetheless, it boasts excellent location, right in the middle of the action, across the street from Quan Cheng Park's south gate. The rooms here are small, and fairly clean, and a bit worn. Cable TV and hot showers are available 24 hours a day along with air conditioning units.
